complete and utter shit, like the sequels

this is the latest game in the trilogy user

Better than last light, not quite as good as 2033, the last hub is really disappointing and linear and the the game has a lot of hitbox and collision issues on top of bad enemy AI and poor audio sync and the save system is also very poorly designed.

However the music and atmospheric immersive shit is the best its ever been in the series and the entire end sequence is high art

Solid 8/10.

Metro was ruined because of consolekeks

Really easy, shitty story and the graphics are too cluttered to find pickups.

And it's shitty, just like it's predecessors, aka sequels from the past.

literal regards are browsing this board right now lmao

Damn regards

>like the sequels
Either you're from the future or you are completely and utterly retarded. And let's be honest, we both know it's not the first option.

honestly really fucking lame game. People must have really shitty taste for putting this game with a positive rating on steam

I thought it was really good. The only problems I really saw were:
-The AI can be kind of bad in both directions where sometimes you literally stand in front of someone and they don't notice you and other times they see your shadow 50 yards away in a bush in the middle of the night.
-The game definitely favors a stealth approach not only in terms of ease of dealing with situations but also the morality system favors nonlethal stealth take downs. Personally I almost always do stealth in games so this was a plus for me but I know some of my friends didn't like it.

Otherwise the game is gorgeous with ray tracing, the characters are likable, there's a ton of lore and world building if you want to stand around and listen to people but you're also completely free to just leave at anytime to go play, gameplay is pretty much stalker, and there's a lot of stuff to do on the open world maps.

How's the shooting? I thought the previous metros where solid but the shooting was really lacking desu

Dunno couldn't finish it because webm related.

Open world was a mistake, if they wanted to do the game open world they should have done it the stalker way with an unpredictable a.i. And a dynamic world, instead is a “big” map thats full of scripted secuences so replaying the game is not as fun as the first time. While the last section is truly horrifing its just a scripted secuence, the second one is shit art-wise, the third one strips you from all your guns and forces a stealth aproach which is boring and the first one’s okay I guess
7/10
Original 2033 is better

Kind of weird. If your gun is clean then it's great but your gun gets dirty from a lot of stuff at which point the bullets start the stray off your reticle. There's no easy indicator that your gun got dirty so you'll end up going into a fight unaware that your gun isn't shooting straight and you'll miss a ton.
Once I had figured this out though I just made a point of walking around with a gun I didn't usually use in combat cause only the gun you're holding will get dirty and then I'd just make sure to completely clean all my guns whenever I found a bench.

Shooting is really good, it has the best depiction of an ak-47 i’ve seen in a videogame

Haven’t played it yet because I don’t want to support Epic.

Avoid PS4 version like the plague. Firsst load takes between 4-5 minutes. Dying and reloads take roughly 1-2 minute depending in the area. It is especially snnoying in harder difficulties or if you are trying to do a stealth run.

I honestly dont understand why this is 5x slower than RDR2 with small maps and worse graphics. Bad load times are such a turn off for me.

Say no more

RDR 2 took years and 100s of the most talented developers to make. Once in a generation type of game

Well, RDR2 map is also way bigger. In any case I really enjoy the game. Only load times are bad.

Open world idea had promise, but of all the levels I enjoyed, my favorites were the more linear levels (The summer camp forest one for instance).

The day night cycle is cool, but theres no reason to not just sneak around at night when you have night vision and wont get spotted. daylight is a meme

The open world ones like the snow one are too goddamn open, I'd rather have there be more stuff around to actually explore as opposed to 15 something 3 story buildings or junkyards with miles of open space between them. Since I found myself sneaking across barren open areas at night a lot.

Found myself using the same guns almost exclusively on my playthrough, also you get the crossbow way too late in the game. The guns feel pretty good tho. Mowing down a group of mutants ambushing you feels hella good.

Load times can be really shit, although thats ony when I start up the game and speeds up significantly when I need to reload from a death.

Massive disappointment for me at least.

Horrible controls and movement, stopped playing after 2 hours. The other two happen to be some of my favorite shooters too.

it's ok but i expected more.

Open world was a mistake

Nobody cares about Artyom's waifu

2033 > Last Light > Exodus

Lmao stupid regard

Shit on them all you want for microtransactions, Rockstar employs very competent coders who could squeeze xbox performance out of a toaster

i wish it was longer. i dont like how the military ammo as currency was dropped but i can see why it was. plus some weapon attachments can only be acquired on the last mission meaning they were barely used

I completed it two weeks ago, hardcore difficulty. It's a really, really, really good game. Easily best of 2019 so far.

You didn't buy the Steam early access version?

Retarded AI meant nothing felt like a challenge
Leaving the Metro for other areas is fucking retarded it’s called Metro
Why couldn’t we just have an open world inside the Moscow Metro system with the ability to rail car between destinations
Why is Artyom still the protagonist his journey is over
Gun customization doesn’t even use what made Metro cool with all the homemade guns and instead it’s slapping laser sights and scopes onto everything so all guns feel similar instead of crafting homemade zip guns

Phone posters just need to be banned.

does anyone know how to keep Dimir from leaving at the end of the Caspian level.

Don't mind that, I lost him and got good ending.

now THIS is pod racing

Voice acting was fucking atrocious in english, and bad in russian. IA was kinda shit too, but overall I enjoyed the hell out of this game, would be better if modding was possible.

But you don't get the Full strength achievement

The ending came out of nowhere it felt way too soon and unsatisfying

i pirated this and played on a rtx 2070 with ssd.
Graphics and environments are amazing as always.
This psuedo open world game is shit. Boat sections were triple shit. Linear parts were the best.
Story is meh.
Atmosphere is still good.
Overall worse than prequels but it is an okay game.

the game has gotten 2 big patches after release so its okay now i guess

Attached: 52457305.jpg (481x654, 35K)

I pirated it

Graphics great, sound great, story was interesting.

Gameplay was hit or miss, small areas fun, large open parts(which was the whole selling point of this game being semi-open world) the AI acted retarded, you could tell they needed more time for this game.

My personal biggest disappointment of the year.
>the dialogue is chaotic and buggy. Characters often talking over one another
>side quests are shit
>open areas feel empty and pointless except for Winter.
>no reward for exploration. It’s just resources, which are incredibly scarce
>half the game is digging through drawers
>characters aren’t interesting
>not enough enemy variety
>animations were wonky and felt dated
>story is shit
It was an absolute drag to finish.

7.5/10 all things considered.

I really enjoyed the last two but can't bring myself to play past 45 minutes of the new one.

Tfw you need to start with "i pirated it" to not get attacked, what a time to be alive
