>decided to do a playthrough where i didnt do things that i did in my original xbox 360 playthrough
>first thing was nuking megaton
>second thing was not letting the ghouls overrun tempenny tower
the run has been really enjoyable so far, especially with the suite upgrades
>finally found out how to push into new vegas
>lv 7, have to pop my one stealth boy to get through most of the super mutants in the capital because i didnt save when i killed most of them and got oneshot by a grenade launcher from one of them near the archives metro
>after some shit at the train station finally get it online
>have to spawn myself a ticket to new vegas because apparently that part of the mod is bugged (where you buy it from the computer and it only gives DC tickets)
>finally in new vegas
>mods kick in
feels good to be back in new vegas
only wish this mod gave you the option to select which location you started in (DC vs vegas)
gonna go back and do anchorage in DC once i get done in vegas. dont give a damn about any of the alien dlcs or the god awful louisiana dlc where the swamp is an absolute slog to push through whatsoever

Other rpgs will be good but not at the scale of something backed by Bethesda's resources, the rpgs that do have resources will be dumbed down casual dog shit made for people who don't really like rpgs to begin with, like F4.
So probably not, companies that have the money won't ever make a truer rpg ever again and companies that make true rpgs will never have the funds to make something of that type.
For the Fallout series, it's already peaked, Bethesda no longer cares to make real rpgs anymore and they won't ever let themselves be outshined again by letting another studio handle one of their IPs and do it better than they did.
Short answer, no, anything that tries to be too much of an rpg is too niche in today's market.

Just reinstalled this game. It's been sooooo many years since I last played it but I came to the conclusion it's perfect for the exact feeling I am looking for. Basically I want to be the least assuming most regular character. Any ideas on what kind of weapon type would be good for that?
