Call of Duty World at War

When this game first came out what was Yea Forums's first initial's reaction and thoughts were about it when it came to the campaign and it's portrayal of the gameplay and the enemies in the game especially both sides of the war and what was the reaction and thoughts was towards multiplayer?

Also what was the public media's opinion of portrayal of the Japanese in the game and as well the russians and how did the public reacted to this game? Was this game censored and banned in japan as they said it was in japan or was that actually a myth?

Also did the gamemode nazi zombie gave you nightmares when you first played it Yea Forums?

the last decent CoD game for both campaign and MP.

Campaign was fun in co op and the multiplayer was super satisfying, I have nothing bad to say about it and I have a sudden urge to fire an MP40

The rotten cancer of the fascist right ravages America like a plague.
Their relentless drives into our homeland steals the lives and livelihood of men, women and children alike.
The arrogance and cruelty of their leaders is matched only by the brutality and ignorance of their voters.
These are the darkest days of the Republican occupation of the United States.

It was actually the only one I ever owned. The campaign was alright. Multiplayer was alright but the dogs and flamethrowers felt bullshitty at times.

Who /mp40/ here?

It was fun as heck to use (even if it was OP)

It was a different time

I like the campaign, still the best in cod by far I think. I'm just a sucker for ww2
I wish they would make a proper follow-up foe this game but after that abortion that was cod WW2 that's never gonna happen

I never played WW2, what was bad about it?

I thought it sucked because the level design stopped being pseudo-realistic and were just very obvious vidya levels. Veteran was also piss easy aside from one level from this since most levels had obvious cover points to leapfrog between rather than the no-man's lands and hardpoints style design of the previous titles

Imagine WW2 was directed with Michael Bay

literally everything
the guns were shit
the game was filled with their dumbass supply drops
campaign was trash
zombies was mediocre
the only good thing was the war mode, which almost reminded me of territories on red orchestra/rising storm but it was more like the battlefield grand operations with less people

It was pretty cool. Last COD game I enjoyed.

didn't japan hated this game because it portray Japanese during the time of war as they actually were back then?

As fucking animals?

I remember game journalists shit on the game hard for being racist towards japan for painting them as nothing but brutal non human barbaric animals and racist towards russians as being savage animals.

Is this true?

No, nobody cared.

CoD4 but in WW2.

correct

was dogshit since it followed MW which was fantastic then we got this turd

It wasn't OP in the slightest. Unscoped snipers and the carbine were the most busted.
