I want to play a crpg or just an rpg in general. What are some good ones? I played like 40hrs of divinity original sin 1 and like half of wasteland 2, and they were decent. I think I uninstalled tyranny within the first hour.

I like games with good atmosphere and story and I gain satisfaction from outfitting my virtual character with armor and weapons because I'm an idiot.

PF kingmaker is best, PoE is good too.

PF kingmaker is the main one I've been looking at

It IS good! Romance Valerie!

Poe2 in turn based mode is the most based and redpilled crpg ever made.

Xoti IS a good wife!

PoE doesn't work in turn based imo it fucks the entire system up.

Pathfinder is grand in scope: you set out adventuring and then get to rule your own kingdom and and deal with your domain's matters and problems.
The sad thing is that the loading times are still pretty bad, about 10 seconds, the companions are generally plain, annoying and uninteresting, and despite you being a king, you're still the errand boy.

Atom RPG is like Fallout 1/2 + Stalker (more like the former), set in Russia after the atom bombs fell. Surprisingly fast loading times (despite being Unity and fully 3D like Pathfinder). If you like Fallout 1/2, chances are you're gonna like Atom RPG.

There's also the classic ones that you should've played by now:
Fallout 1/2
BG 1/2
Planescape Torment
IWD 1/2
Arcanum
Fallout Tactics
Avernum
Jagged Alliance 2

This is a clearly plebian opinion so I will discount it

A big update comes out June 7th, so might as well just wait until then.

...

atom rpg looks right up my alley since I'm super into stalker etc., thanks.

>There's also the classic ones that you should've played by now:

I've been aprehensive to try the classics because I have retard adhd brain with certain things but I will at some point play them probably

It'd probably be best you watch a let's play of Atom RPG or pirate it first to avoid regrets.
1.1 update coming this week.

What's the best CRPG for monk play?

I'm assuming you're all talking about pillars of eternity and not path of exile

do you need to / should you play pillars of eternity 1 before 2, and is icewind dale good?

shut the fuck up, you goddamn retard

You should play PoE1 before 2 but don't have to if you don't want to, no idea about Icewind dale.

No!

>is icewind dale good?
It's like the most ARPG of cRPGs.
You make a party and keep going from dungeon to dungeon clearing mobs and shit.
No memorable story, no memorable NPCs, just plain good simple fun.

DivOS2 is the best of the lot

PoE2 for sure

UNDERRAIL

you should play poe 1 before 2 because 1 is actually good while 2 is dogshit.

2 has great gameplay and a good setting just the actual plot is kind of dogshit.

It's too bad modern RPGs no longer have dumb dialog which adds so much to replay value and immersion.

PF:KM is the best CRPG since Baldurs Gate 2. It got bad ratings because of bugs that were fixed a few months later. Game journos were also too dumb to understand how the ruleset works and havent played the game to its end.

this

It has Valerie!

He should wait for the enhanced edition.

I wouldn't call PF:KM the best CRPG, because it pales in a lot of RP that other games have and more.
However I can see how PF replacing BG2 in many aspects.
