The early 2010s still had it. It was the combination of action cartoons on all three major networks getting canned and the first wave of Adventure Time clones rolling out that killed it. There's been good shows since, but WAY less than any other era. I'm looking forward to Primal, unlike Jack S5 it looks like it plays to Genndy's strengths as a director and not his weaknesses as a writer.
