The game shows plenty of moments where characters use the advantage of technology and the actual irony is found in the fact that the lives of the villagers themselves have been artificial the entire time.
As soon as the concept of value is introduced into the village is when the people of the village actually start to act like normal people and their artificial Eden is destroyed.

Yeah, I agree. Never saw the game as anti-capitalism. I viewed Tazmily not having currency as a plot-device that sped up the story of Fassad corrupting them (all he had to do was literally give them money) and showed how (strangely) innocent they were, which ultimately set up the plot twist/lore of the village.
