Nwehehehe!
Nwehehehe!
>desert merchant subverts wholesome community, turns kindhearted country folk into selfish cosmopolitans through mind-altering media devices
What did Itoi mean by this?
Consumerism is shit
>desert
?
Fassad's not actually from the desert. You just meet him there. His house is a place you visit in the game.
CAPITALISM BAD: The Game
That's a yikes from me
bablahabladwingoblingochingo
based
really activates one's almonds
just a humble happy box merchant, goy
I really found it fucking ironic how Mother 3 tried to preach against consumerism and capitalism, using the TV as a negative tool for the narrative, when it itself is a videogame of all things being produced and distributed by one of the largest companies in the market.
>HURR YOU CAN'T USE A MEDIUM TO CRITICIZE A MEDIUM
Capitalism is bad
Japs are woke. They don't allow any (((immigration)))
it isn’t entirely anti-capitalism tho, tazmily pre-fassad is not a perfect society as its built on lies and crumbles under any stress. Flint’s wife died and they had no goddamn clue how to handle it because everyone was used to comfy happy world
still better than Socialism :^)
I mean, yeah I understand that. But come on, this thing sold its soundtrack on fucking iTunes. I mean, the platform is compete circumstantial but couldn't the vicissitudes of life land it on a less consumeristic platform.
Doesn't help that Earthbound in english is a collector's item worth hundreds of dollars.
always hated when this fucker showed up
>have to wait through the long ass intro if you lose
>boss is nothing new
shit
Why?
It's not ant-capitalism more than it is anti-greed. The game itself proves that capitalism has its benefits, such as the mole crickets flourishing as a business, providing Lucas and co. better gear and items.
Yes, goyim, diversity is our strength.
Because it's not actually anti-capitalism or ""nature good technology bad"" like some brainlets suggest.
The game shows plenty of moments where characters use the advantage of technology and the actual irony is found in the fact that the lives of the villagers themselves have been artificial the entire time.
As soon as the concept of value is introduced into the village is when the people of the village actually start to act like normal people and their artificial Eden is destroyed.
I love how the Lore has it like
>oh yeah, your entire fucking world is not much older than you are, and it's actually younger than Lucas.
It does has me curious what kind of people were Flint, Hikawa and Duster in the old world
No, seriously, fassad isn't Arabic he's just transexual
Why is Fassad the only magypsy that looks like a dude?
The message is anti propaganda and anti militarism and censorship. Its anti government interference and supports technology as long as its used wisely
it's more about alienation than capitalism or modernity directly
The message i took was that a perfect society is never possible;and realizing that improves society
Tazmilly is simalar to new pork
Brainwashed citizens with truth hidden from them
Secrets
Strict rules
No death
A “utopia”
Because he dresses like a man and doesn't wear makeup.
Fassad and Interpreter is kino.
Yeah, I agree. Never saw the game as anti-capitalism. I viewed Tazmily not having currency as a plot-device that sped up the story of Fassad corrupting them (all he had to do was literally give them money) and showed how (strangely) innocent they were, which ultimately set up the plot twist/lore of the village.
