Personally I think they should copy the class trial thing from WoWs character creator. Be able to demo any max level job in the game in a closed off instanced zone against a target dummy and some random mobs. See how jobs play like and which fits you the best right away instead of grinding for 100s of hours.

DNC is guaranteed to be a dedicated MNK fluffer thanks to GL4.

A bad player will never outparse a good player no matter the buffs. Padding simply increased the heights you could reach. It's a false presumption. Parsing high as dps = good player, because the peak numbers are always held by the most efficient players running optimal compositions. It is not debatable.

I like the dungeons, though I hate the linearity and a lot of the class design choices (as in, they have a strict idea of how they want your rotation to work for each job and they will patch the game to ensure you use their rotation). A few of them actually wound up watching me in some end game shit a time or two and thought they'd be dealing with level 20 dungeon mechanics for the whole game, but they wouldn't slog through those quests to see it out. I also just wish they had more incentive to be out in the world. Gathering works in a way that I can't stand and every time I've tried to level gathering, the grind has made ME quit, and I'm a grinding pro. Just tons of niggling complaints behind a shiny coat of paint that I can't get anyone to share with me

The chances of it being notably worse than the other melee options, especially after a couple balance patches, are pretty low. We don't even know if TA is getting nerfed, and SAM looks like it's still lacking party buffs entirely. Who knows where MNK is gonna land in the scheme of things.

crafted gear will still be fine. One of the main incentives for buying is to skip the ilvl grind and play a job at endgame right away so it'll always be wanted. I seriously doubt the people buying fending rings right now are doing it to gear for alphascape savage.

It only really hurt sellers on small servers. I'm on a big one and while I have to drop prices a bit the amount I've been selling has easily tripled. Overall I would say it's been a net gain.
