Great thoughts because the music is fucking great, faggot.

NOT TO SOUND CLICHE....
I will buy a switch the day his on it
Because i started playing it again and my mind affects reality. It's a plausible theory atleast.
BUT THIS WORLD SUCKS
DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE
[INCOMPREHENSIBLE GERMAN LYRICS INTENSIFY]
a guy I know removed all the songs from the game so he could play in silence and apparently there's actual ambient sound effects in each area and for weather
For every good song there's an equally bad one.

XCX is like 80s mecha animes : a pleb filter
How can I mod this permanently into my disc?
In seriousness I forgot the acoustic guitar in this song is dank
People don't understand that the music is about creating vibes and atmosphere not about being generic good music like xb or xb2.
All of those are good though?
I've not played the game so maybe they just don't work in the context of the game itself? Either way, I actually like all of the music posted in this thread so far. Is this game a good entry point to the series?
NLA Day is genuinely atrocious, but that's the only track that I'd say is bad.
>not posting the best version
youtube.com
Don't forget me
I personally don't think there's any bad songs, but the NLA day and night theme can get quite repetitive at times, this of course isn't helped by the fact that the game doesn't have sound options
I can appreciate that they could get repetitive - and that's something the composer/sound team should have considered. Still, I wouldn't say the music is bad.
not to mention the gayass flying theme overwrites the area theme everytime you so much as tap the r button with no option to disable it
Once you unlock the ability to fly, you will hear that last song, on REPEAT in ALL regions of the game as long as you are flying.
So yeah, for me it got old fast.
This game is really amazing but there are a few small design flaws that really make it hard to for me to come back to.
xcx is late 90s and 00s mecha
>there are a few small design flaws that really make it hard to for me to come back to.
Such as?
I can't fucking breathe
Best final boss theme.
youtube.com
honestly, i felt the game was made worse after you unlock that ability.
For one thing, skells are so OP that as soon as you unlock them, regular combat becomes pointless aside from the occasional skell-less mission. I really liked the class system for regular combat too.
Also
>Xenoblade X's sequel (Xenoblade Y)
>Lao appears out of no where and reveals to the main characters that he's still alive
>suddenly he pulls out a wacky fantasy sword with some Japanese writing in the middle
>the Black Knight walks out from around a corner with a glowing link connecting him to Lao
>Black Knight takes off his mask
>Alvis introduces himself as Ontos
>Alvis once again takes some people on a quest to kill god
Great.
Based.
except mira's god is a version of meyneth/galea
Yeah it's funny how breaking from limitations can seem so desirable at first, but really just ends up taking away from the game.
ONE BY OOOOHOOHOOOONNEE
I will never forgive them for patching DON'T FORGET ME out of the game
>First six notes of Don't Worry play
Don't forget for every good song there's a good song utilized in such a way that you never hear it enough.
>Melancholia: used as the fucking Squad Select theme so you hear it for 10 seconds tops
>Don't worry: used EVERY TIME YOU TRY TO JUMP AFTER THE UPGRADE
I think a lot of the music is really fitting and Blade Barracks is perhaps my favorite 'home base' music in any game.
Please Nintendo, you've ported everything else.
>Regular combat becomes pointless
You're stronger outside your Doll then in it
I'm not sure what's worse, it being removed or faggots who actually defended the move.
At least Hugo says DON'T FORGET ME, THINK YOU CAN TAKE ME and YER' DONE! In some of his battle lines.
I know right, and you hardly spend any time in the barracks either
It never seemed that way to me.
It's a nice call back, but it doesn't hold a candle to the original spam.
This, I started a new game just so I could remove the flight pack and kept it off as long as possible.
Goat hoping in Skell was fun.
it is literally impossible to have a worse opinion than this one. I joked about the OST until I played the game, even NLA night isn't bad within the context of the game. Divorcing the music from the game robs you of context and makes even good pieces fall flat.
Oh no, Xbros...
I had more fun with XCX than XB2. The open world was done right.
What the fuck
Fucking this.
>pretty deep and interesting class and skill system
>abandon it half-way for LOL MECHS
>XBX2 comes out, no X port in sight
>game gets beaten day one
>turns out the entire original landmass is postgame content, identical to how it was in X
>"it wasn't worth porting X alone so we just ported it into the new game lol" -tetsuya 'madman' takahashi
Really though I'd fucking love if when X's story is concluded, they make a final game just combining all of the landmasses and make an MMO out of it. Imagine 10 years worth of openworld melded together to make an entire fucking planet, with each continent full of shit to do. It'd be the Endgame of openworld or some shit.
sawano is incapable of understanding the difference between videogame music and the music he normally makes. He did a shit job and thats why he was replaced. If he didn't objectively do a garbage job they would have asked him to return.
If you know what you're doing you can kill bosses and super bosses in 5 seconds with ground combat
Good thing he did an objectively outstanding job.
that's why he got replaced right
Replaced by who? That's the same team that did the OST for the first Chronicles game. Sawano is obviously going to be X series composer.
>got replaced, when it's a different branch of the series and Mitsuda/ACE+/Kiyota were all absent from X
>two of Sawano's songs still made it into XB2 anyways
>got hired in the first place because Takahashi was a fan of his work
But please, go on.
I don't need a port, I'd rather have a sequel/spiritual sucessor instead
Good, get fucked port fags
Let's get some discussion rolling. Post your favorite XCX theories, or interesting concept art.
>L'cirufe
>Anagram of Lucifer
>His demonic concept art depiction
>Desires knowledge and knows human speech without translators
>The only one of his kind on the entire planet
>Has existed on Mira for centuries, before the other alien species like Nopon arrived on the planet
>The theory that Mira is hell, and the survivors of the crash are in Purgatory
I'm very curious as to what Takahashi plans on doing with his character in the sequels. It feels like your partner members were supposed to have more focus in the first game.
Have concept art of Mira with a weird tower.
This is a completely bonkers fanfiction-tier theory that barely has any basis but isn't farfetched for Xeno writing.
One of the missing Beanstalk towers that got sucked from Xenoblade 2's dimension and ended up in another dimension ended up in Mira
Mira is special in that it's some sort of purgatory, but it's also an endless pocket dimension and nothing actually exists outside of Mira in Mira's universe, every memory is a lie or inconsistent. (As supported by early concept notes claiming Mira is apparently endless and the planet goes on forever even though it's supposed to be a globe.
Everybody's real bodies never existed in Mira's universe. Some zohar/conduit/whatever fuckery copied everybody's Mims along with a copy of the White Whale to Mira. In the original universe, everybody's real bodies are floating in stasis on another White Whale in space
I hope we can visit that moon looking region in X2 or X3. It'd be a shame if that didn't get used in later titles. I'm excited to see what landscapes they include in the sequels. I loved the sector around NLA, but it was pretty basic.
>Grassy plains region
>Lava region
>Sandy desert region
>Forest region
I have no clue what to call Sylvalium, though. As for your theories, the last 2 sound pretty interesting. Not so sure about the first one, though. Especially if the XCX games turn out to be a prequel for the mainline Blade games, but I'd hope not.
I don't think XCX should be a prequel or a sequel to the main blade games but there's little things that makes me think that XCX could be running alongside the main games in a different universe.
The only extent of connections I'd be okay with if X connected with 1&2 is Zohar fuckery.
If X ever does get a sequel, I think it's guaranteed for the zohar to show up in some shape or form.
