I always said the best way to fix nuRatchet is for Insomniac to streamline the series into one continuity like they did with Spider-Man.
In a video game narrative or cartoon, just pick up right from the remake. Take the happy, boy scout Ratchet then break him. Have a commercal montage of all the significant parts of the mythos, even the PSP games. Ratchet is now a bitter mess from fifteen odd years of his heroics. You have an excuse to revert back to his old personally, while keeping his status as galatic hero.

Twisted Metal is perfect for tv adaptation but unfortunately it's probably going to be shit.

TJ Miller tried his best to salvage the R&C movie, and after the failure of the film plans for Sly fucking died, as they quickly repurposed the films assets for television. Sony is confirmed to still have a close working hand with the cartoon show runners. Makes sense now to unveil PlayStation Productions and launch Sly as the first of these. Twisted Metal isn't coming out for years.
