Well, it's one of the cheaper options for nature+earth blessings. In Dominions 4 I believe it was the way to go for some faction or another (those without Statue of Fertility or Irminsul) if you wanted regen+reinvigoration blessing, I haven't looked into Great Mother's pricing as bless chassis in Dom5 but it would certainly be non-awful way to get those bless points.

As for using her for physical combat, it's iffy. You don't want your pretender trampling through hordes of chaff and then finding herself fatigued and surrounded. In this case, trampling actually makes her worse. In general, most titans aren't very good combat unit out-of-box (some like Athena can potentially be used for expansion, but they're not great). Titans can become more potent with equipment and self-buffs than monster pretenders however ("supercombatants"). There's no uncounterable SC, but if you're researching paths like Alteration and Construction anyway, a titan chassis could be a good deterrent in an early midgame war, although I wouldn't build a strategy around putting my pretender in the harm's way so that's just some nice bonus if you want a dormant titan pretender for some other purpose.
