This is so wrong it hurts. Dark souls 1 has a fucking dumb upgrade system and the resources needed are stupid as fuck. The combat may be solid but compared to later entries it is painfully slow and easy. At the time the game was 10/10 but given its age and how better the later games have combat it is a solid 8/10 now.

I enjoyed it.
It's basically a much more refined version of EW1 in every way which I also enjoyed. I think the story was pretty weak but I loved everything else. I feel like it utilized its setting in a much better way. I don't get the complaints about the hub areas, they were pretty fun to explore and find hidden shit in and it's not like they were that big for it to become a complaint.
It's not really a horror game at all though, the only time I felt scared was when I sneaked on one of those white ghost bitches and she didn't die.
