IDK, it looks like it would be a good deal if I didn't already have a new 3ds. The only thing I can think of would be that external hinge, which is a pretty questionable design choice

It's because the 2DS only comes with shitty TN panels. If you'd ever had an IPS 3DS XL, you'd hate your 2DS.

Can someone redpill me on TN and why everyone hates it? I'm pretty sure that's what my monitor is and it looks fine to me

depends entirely on the panel since there are plenty of 3DSXLs with shitty panels too, it's literally a crapshoot whether you'll get a good one or a shitty one

I can't play either any more. Having played shitty mobile games like FEH I can't readjust my eyes to the crappy resolution of DS games.

Out of fucking nowhere, my volume slider broke, and now is stuck at max volume all the fucking time.

I always play with slider @ 100.
Just started Mario Odyssey on the switch and it's a lot harder than Mario 3D land. As in the perspective makes me miss so many jumps and ledges. Don't remember having this on the 3ds. In Odyssey I'm always looking at Mario's shadow rather than Mario.

N3dxl monster hunter or zelda special edition. Metal is so much nicer than glossy plastic that collects fingerprints.

I have one and it’s OK. It has worse speakers than the original 2DS and I dislike that flimsy cover for the SD and cartridge slots. That little nub made MM3D much more tolerable than without a second stick

It's not good.
Sticks are utter shit, overall ergonomics is bad too. Touchscreen is meh too. And it's still a little too big to comfortably fit in a pocket.

Does the 2DS XL has a different area for the SD Card slot? Opening the battery case every fucking time is a bitch.

Personally IDC about tn/IPS. The n2dsxl feels flimsy. That's why I can't stand it. It does have a much better SD card placement tho
