It's made by the west

The west makes good indies/AA at least. It's only western AAA that's shit

Based. This style of game just looks cheap and reminds me of mobas and f2p grinders. I've heard some crpgs like Divinity that use it are actually good, but I just can't get past the association with cheap grindy games

This is seriously one of the biggest video game franchises in the world?

Any of the bigger budget stuff published by Devolver, THQ Nordic, and Focus Home Interactive I would consider AA. Some examples of Western AA would be stuff like Psychonauts, Serious Sam, Vampyr, Biomutant, The Surge, A Plague Tale, Darksiders, and other stuff of like that.

Rogue likes because I have been playing vidya long enough to hate repetitiveness. Losing your progress and having to play levels you already played and that serve no purpose doesn't make the experience fun. I'm convinced that to like it you have to be autistic.

This annoying faggot makes me lose all motivation.

crafting

I legitimately have no idea how anyone could play a roguelike for more than an hour or two and not get bored. Once you're seen one run you've pretty much seen them all because the algorithm is just going to scramble the same shit up in a slightly different order. And losing your save when you die is literally anti-fun. I don't understand how permadeath is an actual feature people want in their games. It's like regressing back to the NES days before saving existed and you had to start over every time you died or turned off the game.

>Asian character with purple or pink hair

Combat that's difficulty is in achieving a high rank or combo score rather than actually having tough encounters
World that is easy to get lost in (as in literally lost in dungeons or something)
This.

>Twitter

Not what he said, idiot.

Ranking systems. Mostly what I mean is shit like pic related, where you HAVE to get the best rank or else you have to do the entire mission over again just to get something

-being stuck at some spot and no clue how to proceed after I tried all that I could think of with the stuff I have
-annoying gameplay, protagonist and story inconsistencies all in one
-tedious and same kind gameplay all the time
-pay to win / pay for cosmetics
-excessive dlc
-betrayal of the franchise (low quality or totally different kind of game, yet labeled as successor)
-roguelike with bad UI or instakill stuff in it that has either no counter or relies on luck to be counterable
-RPG that makes you spam the same 1-2 abilities constantly
-significant decline in dev effort at some point in the game
-franchise becomes part of EA games
-patches change initial gameplay completely to something not enjoyable
-lack of patches to turn mediocre gameplay into something better than mediocre or make it even if worse with patches
-must-have items and must-do builds / strategies
-pointless and misleading tooltips (constantly)
-forced to create some external online account
-always online forced, even for singleplayer
-annoying / bad controls or controls that can't be changed
-gamebreaking or annoyance causing ingame bugs or even game design flaws, especially if they happen frequently

When I am not having fun

Its called isometric view and is used for a lot more shit than just loot grinders. Play more games.

>An overly complex non-optional crafting system in an otherwise incredibly simple and straightforward hack n' slash game.
>Random encounters that have a ten second load time before and after the fight
That's really about it

But PoE, Tranny and all the other nu-cRPGs are pretty damn good time sinks, I'd be glad to see more

honestly kinda felt that tho

This can be really goddamn annoying.

>playing CSGO
>me and one dude left

>says I was being too loud

>different match
>guy has like no kills
>gets crazy tilted over it
>he eventually spawns with the bomb, I follow him
>he sits back, says "oh, you're just gonna follow me?" in an annoyed voice
>TKs me when I don't move

>playing Siege
>make a callout, enemy moves and flanks a teammate
>teammate goes "HE'S NOT THERE"
>rage quits
>friend he was playing with waits until the round starts and quits so we can't get a backfill in time

Team games like Siege and CS attract the worst kinds of autists. They'll lose, rage at their team, and wonder why their team will do worse once they no longer feel like communicating with them.

>permanent stat decreases on events that aren't completely avoidable by the player
Nothing will make me put down a game faster than this.

Reputation grinding.

What if we made MHW with the fortnite engine?

what the devs feel strongly enough to rant about on social media is helpful to figure out what the game is going to be like so i avoid things like in the last of my list. i have to pay up front for games so ill use different sources of information to try to find out if its with it. i dont actually have a twitter/fb/youtube/etc account of thats what you mean though

That's just you being casual as fuck.

People like to be aware of things I guess
I'd beable to enjoy Aquaman if I hadn't learned the female lead abused her husband for years while faking her own abuse with make up and falsified police reports

when anything has a combination of crafting, survival elements, or open world. especially if the crafting is necessary, god that shit is annoying beyond belief.

>effortlessly dancing around boss
>beating the shit out of them
>haven't even been scratched
>cutscene starts
>character suddenly suffers from extreme mental retardation and gets BTFO in 5 seconds flat as an excuse to move the plot forward

Attached: 1557699256590.png (434x503, 414K)

I think it's actually worse when the crafting isn't mandatory or even seemingly encouraged but you become bullshit overpowered if you actually bother with it. Means they threw it in as a last minute thing to try and get extra brownie points.

the fact that amber is an irl succubus is literally the best thing about the movie. she walks the earth to prey on men and doesnt apologize for it
