Make a game about Link being cursed to have his age and appearance change at random intervals and have puzzles that revolve around it.

Kid Link = More agile and can fit into smaller spaces
Teen/Adult Link = Stronger and more skilled in melee combat
Old Link = Physically weaker and slower but more skilled and overpowered in magic combat

Randomness usually does not translate to enjoyable gameplay, there'd have to be a rule to it.

It'd be more like a scripted change but he could always gain the ability to change at will later on like with the wolf form in TP.

Presumably it was a Smash 4 render and adult Link's design in 4 was still his Twilight Princess design so they were trying to keep Young Link consistent with Adult Link.

Link's Awakening is also a handheld game and remaking it on a console doesn't change that.
