These three are basically a staple of my party every time I play a Gen 5 game.
There's a type overlap here, but you can find all three in a single area, and they're all incredibly useful and each can basically carry you on their own.
Also, they all have very nice designs. I also really like Reuniclus, but I find he's not as useful in a team and really is just a design I really like.

A-Raichu is actually sort of like a good foil to Koko. Koko's got a poison weakness that can get him fucked, but A-Raichu can resist poison moves and potentially take out most poison types with a STAB psychic move. Unfortunately Drapion's too based to be forgotten so the strat isn't always viable.

Koko's raw strength means that usually it can break through Poisons barring resists/immunities like Nidoqueen/Venusaur or really fat shit like Muk-A. I think Raichu-A's biggest advantage is its access to Nasty Plot and a unique Z-Move, but unfortunately it's still quite weak and not fast enough outside of Electric Terrain.

It got a mega giving it 780 base stat total with Deoxys offense tier offenses and Starmie speed, its signature move is a Flying type Close Combat, overall has a really versatile movepool and its ability makes it lose all Flying type weaknesses. Oh and it can also use items instead of being forced to use a Mega stone.

Whenever I use one in gen 7, its defenses always feel mega gross and I have no idea why.

user has Poison Jab and elemental punches. This means he's going for a physical build and focusing his Nidoking's EVs on Atk instead of SpA. What's more Nidoking's base stats lean heavily towards Atk over SpA, making physical attacks a better investment. Punches will do more damage than Ice Beam/Thunderbolt/Flamethrower or the stronger variants. Plus, the punches have higher accuracy than the blast moves, meaning he'll be screwed over by luck less often.

Flamethrower, ice beam, and thunderbolt have higher base damage than the elemental punches so they still wind up doing more damage even though Nidoking has higher base attack. There's no real reason to run physical Nidoking.

Underrated drain stall potential. Can learn Leech Seed and Spiky Shield, which is hilarious when someone is too stubborn to switch. Unfortunately, Maractus' base stats lean towards SpA and nothing else. Her base Speed makes tons of other pokemon better picks as a special attacker, and investing in any defensive stats means your only option for a kill is a drawn out fight.

Here's the rundown:
Snips has two jobs - buff, and stay alive to buff. Acupressure gives a random buff, Rest keeps Snips alive, and Sleep Talk lets Snips buff while sleeping. Only a few Pokemon are immune to Knock Off (Justified), so that's how you snip opponents in half. Any Def, SpD, or Eva buff makes Snips immediately more tankier. Once Snips hits a Spe + Tank boost, nothing can stop it. (Except staying in against Haze)

The first genuinely good "set up swords dance and dab on the enemy team" Pokemon that's become popular as of late (Crawdaunt, Mimikyu, Mega-Mawile). The problem being Dragon got dumpstered by Fairy, and being a pure-Dragon is almost as terrible as being pure-Ice or pure-Rock. Oh, and also he was 1 generation behind the speed creep.

Would be neat to see it get +10 speed in the next generation. That would put it back into OU as a decent late-game DDance sweeper 107 speed + DDance means that only fast scarfers could revenge kill it.

No way Breloom is better than Heracross in Gen 3. Heracross has a. better Speed 2. better STAB moves c. better defensive typing and d. better offensive ability. You see Heracross not uncommonly since it's an excellent wallbreak with Band and can also get Sweeps with a Salac Endure-Reversal set, although you need to get rid of Sandstorm to pull this off. Breloom didn't become a GOOD Swords Dance sweeper until Gen 5 when it got Technician to boost Mach Punch and Bullet Seed, in Gen 4 it was used for Spore + Poison Heal, abusing Substitute and Focus Punch, or setting up Bulk Ups and powering through slower teams.
