Saturn 3D is fast! FAST!
This is Yea Forums OP. Yea Forumsirgins here don't play retro games anymore.
They can be made to.
Remind me the name of a mech game on Saturn, there were APCs and planes too and missions were about politics
Gungriffon
Yeah but unfortunately Saturn flopped big time everywhere not called Japan and also unfortunately its nearly all Sega's fault. I really wish Saturn was a better console but it is what it is.
Thanks, the second game was sick too
ODE cloned when?
I had a mint model 1 saturn. Played panzer dragoon 1 and 2, sotn and sold it. Felt bad ever since.
How was Saturn compared to PS1 power wise?
I have never seen a saturn or even a saturn game in real life... make a saturn mini already Sega, you fucks, stop whoring the genesis
>it is what it is.
So a fantastic console with tons of amazing games!
yeah, incredible music in that one.

god i miss NiGHTS into dreams
saturn (and dreamcast) were the only truly soulful consoles. everything else is tired garbage
Weaker in every way and did everything very weirdly, this resulted in very specialized games that did exercise the Saturn's strengths like very advanced 2D effects or applying those 2D effects to 3D to get really unique results.
So PS3 WAS Saturn of its generation
Until Sony came to its senses
Playing a lot of the MSX Collection lately since I found it at a local shop for a few bucks (worth a lot more, got lucky).
Using the 3d pad, as always.
Really want to find a copy of Ninpen Manmaru but that shit is stupid expensive.
Only game worth mentioning on the whole console.
FMV cutscenes are cool
>weaker in every way
That's not strictly true. The Saturn has a lot more in terms of raw strength but its application is a totally different story.
Saturn was also the 5th gen console with the highest output resolution.
I miss real consoles bros
Now everything is just a miniPC with games that are on PC aswell
I love that game but there are a lot of worthwhile games on Saturn, user.
Wrong, but it's okay to have shit taste!
The Saturn is more comparable to the Vita, sort of weird in terms of power, gets a few bad ports people judge the entire thing on, does insanely well in Japan, ends up getting tons of exclusives catered just for it, games become hard to come by, destined to be a very expensive console to collect for.
Look at those animations, PSX games wished they had them
I hate the shitty saturn transparencies
Thank god SSF can fix that
>That's not strictly true.
It's mostly weaker in the ways developers really wanted. A game like Terracon could never be made on the Saturn but there's lots of really wild looking games on the system. The homebrew scene is really taking off now too and developers are doing really impressive things.
The worst thing is that they didn't have to be that bad but most developers just shunted it off to VDP-2 as an ugly dithered thing. There are Saturn games with true transparencies and they look great, they're just few and far between.
Oh I should mention that webm is running exclusively on slave CPU not using VDP1 or 2 or master CPU.
POST YOUR TOP 5 SATURN GAMES
Saturn Bomberman
SOTN Saturn (muh maria)
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Dark Saviour
Deep Fear
go go
have you guys played Super Tempo? the Saturn sequel to Tempo on the 32X
I thought VDP-1 was responsible for meshing while VDP-2 could do (albeit tricky) true transparencies?
Yeah it's really cool. A big improvement over Tempo. Gorgeous spritework too.
Bulk Slash
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Powerslave
Cotton Boomerang
Twinkle Star Sprites
Is Panzer Dragoon Saga really that good?
NiGHTS
Panzer Dragoon 2
Sega Rally
Radiant Silvergun
Burning Rangers
It's short, well written, fantastically directed, has incredible music, an ingenious combat system that grades your performance and rewards you based on your performance and is challenging in all the right ways. The translation is a little sloppy here and there but better than most games of the era.
youtube.com
Well I guess it's time to check it out
I think there is one super autistic user that just really loved the Saturn. When anyone points out how much of a huge embarrassing failure it was he gets mad and repeats the same rebuttals. Maybe it's a group of like minded autists but I don't think so.
>20 minutes cutscene intro
Talk about movie games
I may have it backwards. But yeah, one was faster but shitty, one was harder to do but true.
Saturn has no games.
but what about the 5,000 Japan only arcade ports?
Yeah, honestly. It's shocking that it's stayed languishing on the Saturn alone.
gotta show off that CD storage space
sure
literally has the most games of any sega console next to the DC
how many were released outside Japan and in English?
Supposedly the source code has been found, so it could be remade soon
youtu.be
Ebay resellers would be seething, which would be great
>have a US Model 1 with phantom modchip and a JP Model 2 with phoebe. I can play anything I want
>not playing anything right now but eyes are on shining force iii
>bought retro-bits new sega licensed controllers, shoulder buttons suck ass but are usable, everything else is okay and it looks sweet
>3D pad is still king
Everyone that has the white longbox.
MAME exists.
Most of which are arcade ports and/or multiplats.
Deep Fear and Burning Rangers got me intrested
Fighters MegaMix
X-Men vs Street Fighter
Shining Force III
Sega Rally (not sure why but I never get tired of playing it)
Saturn Bomberman
Yeah, really delightful game. I loved the original on 32X, too.
I've been playing this scotformer called Willy Wombat. Not great, but it's comfy.
I would love that. It's still a fresh feeling game even twenty years on, because there's quite literally no other JRPG like it. I think it deserves a bigger audience more than just about any game I can think of.
See: The source wouldn't be very useful for saga really. It's one of those memes that if only sega wasn't so "negligent" everyone could play a masterpiece but the reality is the game is written in assembly for a system that does 3d like nothing else out there except for 1 extremely obscure nvidia gpu from 1995 that now fetches a 2000 dollar price tag and the game is better off with m2 style emulation or literally being remade from scratch.
Saturn versions are the best.
>emulation
Dilate
Anybody remember Ryoko threads? Those were comfy
What's a good game too play for the Saturn? I was like 6 when it came out and I was more focused on my SNES and 64.
There's a webm few posts above
Bulk slash, panzer dragoon and cotton 2
>Saturn versions are the best.
Best at being shit. Read up about how Konami butchered SotN cause the Saturn couldn't run a good chunk of the PS1's graphical tricks properly.
>Dilate
Oh, I'm so hurt that I don't own an irrelevant 25-year-old console with a shitty game library. How will I ever recover?
>but the reality is the game is written in assembly
Panzer dragoon saga came out in 1998. By then the SGL had matured plenty, it's not unreasonable to think that the code could have been done in C.
>system that does 3d like nothing else out there
Didn't stop virtua racing's model 1 code (a machine that uses quads) from being ported to Switch
Don't make this about you tranny
luckily I downloaded the whole list of Yea Forums recommended for NTSC and NTSC-J. Thanks for the help.
That port of Virtua Racing on Switch is seriously amazing stuff. If Panzer Dragoon, any of them, got that treatment, I'd be totally over the moon.
Golden Axe the Duel
Fighting Vipers
Virtua Fighter 2
Fighters MegaMix
Saturn Bomberman
Dynamite Deka
Panzer Dragoon 2
I've literally spoken with the creator of the Z-Treme engine:
From the description of one of his videos: "All in all, the Saturn is a super complicated console and poorly designed...but it's fun to mess with it trying to find super-complex solutions to problems that don't even exist on the PS1!"
My question: "Just out of curiously, what makes you say the Saturn is poorly designed? What sticks out the most about it?"
Response: "Pretty much everything. Poor documentation, poor libraries, super complicated VDP2 that doesn't work well with the VDP1, way too many restrictions, no texture coordinates support, the VDP1 overdraws pixels (killing transparency and making the Saturn way slower than it could have been). And of course things like when you use the cpu bus the other cpu can't access ram, the scu dsp is poorly documented with little ram, etc. When you look at the Ps1, everything seems way easier and it should still gives you better results. That being said, the Saturn can be better than the PS1 in several areas and I want to make sure to use these advantages, but overall the PS1 is a better machine for sure."
Q: "Interesting. What are your thoughts on the widely held belief that the Saturn is a beast of a console when it comes to 2D graphics? How would you say it compares to the PS1 in that respect?"
A: "More ram, dedicated vdp2 for backgrounds and the vdp1 is good with non distorted quads (no overdraw)."
Don't worry, I still have my dick. You, on the other hand, only have Sega's jammed in your moth.
forgot:
Nights into Dreams
Did mouse support for powerslave EX get fixed or is it still busted
If any of you guys don't want to spend money on a decent PC, you could always get an nvidia shield. Runs Dreamcast and Saturn games pretty well. Currently was playing some Christmas Nights and Daytona USA; the emulation was flawless.
In that case couldn't it run on the 32x?
32X's CPUs are clocked slower and have barely over a MB of RAM to work with + lower bandwidth RAM
>the saturn has:
>2 cpus, which are unable to access system ram at the same time
>2 processors for grafix, one for backgrounds and the other for textures, sprites and polygons
>processor originally intended to enable backwards compatibility with the genesis which was then used as a sound controller after the plan for back compat was ditched
>uses quads instead of triangles for 3d
>could not actually do real 3d, needed to distort 2d sprites to look like 3d
>early in its life the development tools were so horrible that games had to be programmed in assembly for decent performance
>shared hardware with the 32x, resulting in disastrous shortages
what the fuck were they thinking
>soj
>thinking
good one
That's what we call "Sega engineering"
Oh, system not powerful enough? Glue on some more processors! Simplicity? High level languages? That stuff is for chumps!
to answer your question seriously, most people at sega didn't understand 3D very well at all, and those who did only understood super scalar psuedo-3D. So they ended up going with quads/distorted sprites as that was easiest to understand
Dev just confirmed that it does use both VDPs.
>to answer your question seriously, most people at sega didn't understand 3D very well at all
No, they only revolutionized polygonal 3D graphics time and time again.
All from their arcade division, which had guys who were busy and they couldn't just pull away for console development
I'm not denying the model 1 & 2 being revolutionary, but Sega's home console division had few who truly understood 3D
>dude the saturn couldn't run this port from a company that produced a number of shitty ports
>w-wait til you see doom on it! heh!
Ya, Lobotomy also said the saturn is just "plain retarded." I don't really care, it's a dead console that's older than you, it's just a fun system with a lot of great games. That XL2 can get so much out of it shows there's a lot of exciting things going on for the console.
Am I supposed to be impressed by this screenshot or something? Like, congratulations. You can run DOS-tier Doom at 20 FPS and at 320 x 200. Who cares?
>Soul Hackers is on this list, but not Devil Summoner
what
It's fun to tinker with consoles.
Also, saying DOS-tier Doom just makes you look like an idiot. Nearly every home port of Doom had reduced level geometry and simplified layouts. Getting Doom 1 running respectably on Saturn with all geometry and textures in place is a huge step up.
what is the best snk fighting game on the saturn? my local store has kof 96 and fatal fury 3 but both game have loading times unlike capcom fighting games.
also any good 2 player puzzle game? i own puyo puyo tsu and magical drop 2.
>required you to be skilled at ASM for decent game power
Jesus fucking christ. Did Sega just want to shoot itself at every fucking turn?
Comfy
>Getting Doom 1 running respectably on Saturn with all geometry and textures in place is a huge step up.
Again. Congratulations, you hacked up a shitty console and squeezed as much potential out of it as you could to run an old game that can be played in a much better form on other hardware. Who cares?
I hope the remakes are faithful but after the sotc remake I'm extremely skeptical
It's fun to see what kind of performance you can squeeze out of old hardware. If you don't enjoy tinkering with old systems, I can't explain the appeal to you further. It doesn't hold appeal to you, that's fine. Don't be a jerk about it to people who do enjoy it.
Saturn did well in Japan and alright in Europe. SoA was batshit in 1995
Part of the reason was arcade games were written in ASM due to the complexity of arcade boards, as well as most NES/MS/SNES/GEN games due to limited memory and processor speed, so they assumed that people would continue to use ASM (despite the fact that sonic spinball was written in C!).
SoJ was not very wise. SoA even tried to strike a deal with silicon graphics, which would have meant the Saturn would have been the N64's MUCH more powerful hardware with a CD drive instead of a cartridge port, but SoJ struck down the idea.
Oh please, as if SoJ had any games worth a damn that would sell in the American market. They're just as culpable in this regard - even if Bernie Stolar was also a huge jackass.
>the saturn has:
>the best ports of SF alpha 2gold and 3, xmen vs street fighter, darkstalkers 3, twinkle star sprites, thunder force 5, Outrun
>still the best bomberman and highest player count of all time
>The best console exclusive not ported anywhere (Bulk slash)
>unmatched 2D where ps1 was super shit at
>game disc can be used as music CD for tunes
>unmatched 2D where ps1 was super shit at
Such as...?
It's not about the engineers understanding 3D, it's always, always about the management. Every criticism you will lobby at SEGA will always fall in the incompetent management, it's not because the console division didn't know what they were doing, they were just on marching orders from the higher ups. The Saturn was planned as a 2D powerhouse, so they were doing it as so, but when they saw what Sony was doing they panicked and rushed their engineers to make it so the system could do 3D as well, so it's a patchwork of a bunch of processors. You absolutely cannot say about the company that propelled forward 3D into the market that it's bad at 3D just because the Saturn was a frankenstein. It's just mismanagement and skewed priorities, it's not because sega couldn't do 3D, far from the opposite. May I remind you that Daytona USA was the first actual 3D game with texture mapping on the market, with Virtua Racing being its predecessor with flat polygons. And also NVIDIA started off their first GPU by copying the saturn's hardware, the Nvidia NV1. Not to mention they worked closed together with Lockheed Martin and at one point Silicon Graphics.
I know what you're trying to say, the Saturn was a mess at 3D and you need a fucking wizard to be able to squeeze every last drop of its processing. But you're trying to pass the whole statement to a company that spearheaded 3D onto the market and remained a golden standard for a long time, consistently trying to push for high framerates while a lot of companies would compromise on their 3D on a lot of levels. It's just not an accurate statement at all.
According to this boomer the Saturn's failure can be attributed to the games. Sega did not continue a vast majority of their franchises they were building on Genesis, in fact probably none even get a new game on Saturn. Also SOA was making shit games according to him in the later part of the Genesis life cycle. He also mentions how Sega was killing it with sports games and yet they absolutely blew it big time here with the Saturn. To me the biggest blow has to be the lack of a good Sonic game. Even a 2D Sonic would have more than been enough to at least keep the franchise going but these cucks just couldn't be bothered to make one. A 2D Sonic for Saturn would have been great. They could have even just made it a launch title and promise a 3D Sonic later down the line that could have just been delayed for Dreamcast instead. Sega sucks cocks, those fags do not deserve their own name which is much better than the faggots who work for Sega.
It's not the games, sega made a bunch of bad decisions during that time resulting from essentially a civil war between SoA and SoJ. If you're trying to make a theory that it's just one thing you're just ignoring a lot of history. That was a very wild era from SEGA and you can pinpoint to a lot of mistakes they did.
Dragon Force is a good example of Saturn 2D power. Hundreds of sprites on screen at once, mode7/super scalar playing field, 60fps. DoDonPachi also has impressive 2D visuals
He's not saying it's one thing, he's saying it's the most impactful flaw of the Sega Saturn. Sega barely continued any of the successful IPs that made the Genesis popular and didn't have a good software library to appeal to its biggest markets. The same thing happened with the Dreamcast in Japan, honestly. The Saturn built up a particular appeal to its library and that appeal didn't carry over to the Dreamcast, which made the system suffer in the long run.
Bulk slash, Die Hard Arcade, and PD1/zwei regularly.
When is satiator happening?
Who /retroarch with pvm scanline shaders/ here?
Still fucked. Just emulate it on mednafen, controls like a dream if you set up your Xinput controller like a 3d pad and change around some of the button settings.
I'm glad someone else remembers Solar Eclipse. I had way too much fun with that game and its' super cheesy FMV cutscenes.
This game was pretty bad.
What are some Saturn games to showcase to some friends who never played a Saturn game that wasn't Nights?
PCBs for it are beginning a prototype run right now. Hopefully that means it isn't too far off
Guardian Heroes, just Guardian Heroes
Bulk slash, panzer dragoon zwei, powerslave, cotton boomwrang, twinkle star sprites
PS1 version is better.
>recommending the shitty Daytona port
>fucking Sonic R
Really grasping at straws.
Alien Trilogy
Resident Evil
Tomb Raider
Nights Into Dreams
Sonic 3D Blast
I also like Sonic Jam if you consider it its own game. The first three games are better on PS1/PC and 3D Blast is a prettied up Mega Drive game, but I still like those games on Saturn.
Sonic R is great, don´t blame the game if you don´t have enough braincells to play it
What dark sorcery do I need to catch one of those Saturn ODE's when they're for sale?
The neurotic asshole that makes them never seems to make enough and always seems to sell out within the day.
>snesorama
Someone needs to update that image.
Bless emulation and ROMset for allowing me to play through Panzer Dragoon Saga.
The Dreamcast didn't really do bad, it's just the whole company was bleeding money really fast and the Dreamcast alone just couldn't save it. They were actually going bankrupt and the only reason SEGA still exists right now is because their at the time President commited his final salaryman sepuku and sank his whole personal wealth to save the company, and he died shortly after.
>The Saturn was planned as a 2D powerhouse
And it should have stayed this way. They could have then not been cucks by learning from N64 and PS1 while also developing on Dreamcast for their eventual first 3D gaming console. Even if Saturn wouldn't beat Nintendo or Sony anyways at least the blow could have possibly been way softened. I guarantee a 2D only Saturn would have sold at least just as well as it ended up selling anyways. I know I would have wanted one as a kid even despite 3D games becoming a thing because I still loved 2D games as well. If Nintendo's Gameboy was still doing great then its easy to think a 2D Saturn that was perhaps cheaper compared to the alternatives in price would have done perfectly fine.
And plus we could have gotten a lot of games like Golden Axe, SOR, Sonic and so on. Shit like Panzer Dragoon, Saga and Shenmue could have waited and had a ton of time planned out for the eventual Dreamcast.
Then again, just a thing to imagine in retrospect of course.
the guy makes a bunch, but only leaves the window open for a little bit. He then sells the remainder of his batch on eBay for scalper prices.
Loved this game
The secret stage with the developers' heads made me laugh
Someday I will, it brings me joy still seeing these threads here on Yea Forums
>And it should have stayed this way.
As a boomer that was a kid in that era I couldn't disagree more, from a business standpoint. I have no qualms for 2D games today, but back then 3D coming onto the scene was like a fucking nectar from the gods, you can't really quantify the excitement in a kids eyes that has been playing 2D games all their life in weird abstract and simplistic forms and suddenly seeing shit in 3D, it's like a fucking nuclear bomb exploded onto the gaming market. The day I got my Saturn every fucking kid came from the neighboorhood into my house to experience the gift from the gods that were THREE DEE GRAPHIX as worshiping it as a religious idol. If the Saturn remained 2D I guaran-fucking-tee you it would bombed so hard that even the 3DO would surpass it. If anything they misread the market and they should never have developed it focusing on 2D.
Again I love the Saturn, and I love it for what it is today, but it would never have survived as a 2D system in that era, the craving for 3D is very hard to express if you didn't live through it.
I love the Saturn, but you fanboys are the brain dead ones if you think Sonic R is even remotely playable, let alone good. It's a piece of steaming shit, especially considering the PC and Gems versions exist and at least solve the draw distance problem (but not the controls).
Dreamcast was super comfy.
I have been saying this shit for years and I'm immediately called out as a Nintendo fag if I don't worship everything SEGA shits in my plate. Like most Sonic titles, if it was a completely different IP not even remotely associated with Sonic absolutely no one would even look at it for a second and be regarded the same as a bunch of bargain bin tier shovelware titles, but somehow if it's Sonic and it's terrible, Sonic fans will twist and turn it around to try and find some minor fucking enjoyment out of it, when the gameplay is akin to a barbie pet my horse racing extravaganza 2 gaiden. Has a pretty impressive engine for the system though
I'm just convinced you don't know the games on the console.
What did he meme by this
I have a saturn and pseudo saturn I took it apart and tried doing the disc swap trick but couldn't get it right. I watched some videos and even asked in a thread or two for some help about it and people told me to just watch other people do it more. I still couldn't get it to work. I've now lost the screws to the saturn and still haven't done anything with it in months. I just shoved it under my bed. I really wanna figure out what I'm doing wrong. I just got a second sega saturn in a lot of video games I wanna give it another shot.
Dude, Sonic R is for sure the I played the most back in the day alongside sonic jam. The game was fun. if 8yo me could play it, you must have brain damage if you can´t. The only problem with the game is how short it is
>if someone likes a game I don´t like it´s a fanboy that will defend everything
Grow up or kill yourself. Whatever is easier for you
The swap method is different for each model. Some models just let you look at the lights on the front while others don't have the blinking lights and you have to rely on sound
I tried listening and couldn't hear what people were talking about really. I tried watching the disk and just timing it out. After so many tries I began to worry about damaging the console though. I have a couple of cheap sports titles to do it with so I'm really not worried about the disks.
> i'm a huge faggot please rape my face
Damn I can't believe you said that, the wonders of what greentext will do. Try actually quote on something I said faggot
It really shouldn't be hard to listen to. I have no idea if there's a specific model that the swap method doesn't work but the sound is quite clear. Try watching some youtube videos.
Sega could not make chips from the ground up like nintendo or sony.
They had to rely on stuff yamaha did for em.
The original Daytona port was botched technically but the car physics still handle fine. CCE completely destroyed the physics while fixing the technical issue, and the Jap release CE fixed some of the physics issues but the original port still handles better. Oh and CCE's cars looks like shit!
So it's not a simple question to solve honestly, I personally still prefer the botched port even if it has draw distance and frame problems. Either way these days there are way better ports so it's hardly a fucking issue, and you can emulate the Sega Model 2 game.
>The game was fun
>8 years old
There you go.
>tfw had a dream last night where i got to play an unreleased sequel to daytona usa on the saturn that ran at 60 fps
Shit was great
games/screens did not ever look like this
>still no home port of daytona usa 2 20 years later
>user played it in his dreams
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
>Princess Crown translation is in limbo
This. Fantastic 360 version, too
gee thanks I'll go watch youtube instead great advice
What do you want me to do, record a video for you? There's tons of them out there, I also learned from watching youtube videos. I don't owe you anything nor are you entitled to my help. Stop being a such a whinny little entitled cunt and fucking get it done you fucking retarded zoomer, nobody owes you any help.
SSF can turn the mesh effect into transparency?
Yeah it's under one of the options tabs, extra 2 I think. Basically every time VDP-1 tries to do a mesh it will calculate a true transparency based on whatever is currently rendered and replace the mesh with that
Waiting for my fuckijng flash cart goddamn tired of burning CDs.
That's pretty dope actually. I'll have to find some Saturn games to justify emulating the thing.
How much are those, and how do they work?
You can also emulate the effect by enabling analog filters in retroarch through the mednafen core.
I never really saw the issue with burning CDs. I bought my saturn for cheap years back along with a modchip, and installation was piss-easy. It's not like there's a gorillion different Saturn games anyway, so once you burn what you're into, you're pretty much set anyway.
The only issue is the possibility of laser assembly failure. But the saturn is built like a fucking tank, unlike the dreamcast where it seems every other unit can no longer read a disc without at least fiddling with pots, and even that's just a temporary fix.
since only the Dreamcast ODEs have been cloned yet they are pretty expensive, $100+, and the guy who makes them produces a very limited number each batch (and he's a bit of a dick to deal with too). It works as a replacement for your CD drive.
Satiator is still under development but is hopefully approaching completion, it will probably be a little cheaper than ODEs. It's also easier to install, just pop it in the rear MPEG port and you are good to go
I just dug out my Saturn and i have some of these games dark savior is a fun game to try out.
I haven't touched mine in sometime. Still it's like the only older console I have left.
Doesn't help Saturn games look like stretched garbage on my big tv
Been playing Silhouette Mirage lately.
I really want to like this game, the premise and the characters are so bizarre and interesting, but the gameplay feels like a hodgepodge mess of ideas. It's literally a beta for Ikaruga but in sidescroller form. The fact that shots automatically lock onto enemies really detracts from the experience IMO. And I don't know about you but grabbing enemies to farm cash is monotonous as fuck. Now I know where Treasure got their ideas from with Wario World, but seriously, such a vast moveset belongs more at home in a beat 'em up than they do in a run and gun platformer. Maybe flipping over enemies or throwing them up works for getting the right attribute angle, but everything else is pure filler. It's also strange how the game has moments where you dash up walls like Sonic but then get locked into a room with spawning enemies you need to kill in order to proceed. Like I said this game is a clusterfuck that didn't know what it wanted to excel at and only wanted to stand out from the crowd, but as a result it's nearly forgotten and the more obscure of Treasure games. I hardly see any Treasure fans bring this game up, and maybe for good reason. Oh well... Shyna is both cute and cool at least.
i only played discword so put that as my number 1
Well here we fucking go
So that's why there was no Sonic game for the system. Sonic himself was too busy making his own game.
OMG
Good game
Miney Crafta!
my first comment said I've already been told to just watch youtube videos. I've tried it. I was just asking for advice. Telling me to go to youtube is not advice. You literally just said 'go to youtube'. I'm not entitled to your advice I know that. just fuck off already
>it's a villain enters the party but looses his power episode
>google professor abrasive
They're supposed to take over the VCD slot.
It's not so much the saturn dying, it's my CD burner crapping out I'm worried about. Also burning coasters blows.
Fuck that guy, I refuse to support his shitty business.
I love my Saturn!
>the biggest blow being a lack of a good sonic game
alright so, what's the best way to emulate saturn?
Man first dungeon was persona 1 level of bad
soul overload
really dig the style

WHAT IS THIS 2020?
I was too young to understand the saturn when I was a kid and I never had that many games for it either but I still loved it none the less. I remember my parents getting me this along with my saturn for Christmas.
is... is that a boner?
>Hey kid wanna...
He's a good pixie

How's the Saturn port of Dodonpachi? The game footage I've seen looks pretty washed out compared to the one time Insaw a cabinet in person but I could be misremembering.
shading needs more time. more time = more money needed.
today's anime industry is abysmal trash with no investors left that would want to invest into quality.
otakus are absolute subhumans who enable and perpetuate that state because they are basically ok with low effort minium cost feces.

98 will be forever connected to football world cup for me
>Cousin sold his SNES and Saturn collection to get a PS2
>Never got into it as much
>Felt it was soulless and was empty inside
>Since 2018 has been re-buying almost all his older stuff and then some
>Happy now
Why did the fanbase get worse over time? I always considered myself "a fan of anime" but I really cant watch recent stuff.
I'm sure easy access to digital tools played a role.
It's out this year in time for the sakura taisen translation.
