Persona 3

Any tips how to play these games? I have played Persona 4 and to be honest I didn't enjoy it that much because I was missing a lot of social links and I had to look at the internet for answers about school exams.

I was just wondering if this game prioritizes going to Tartarus more than managing social links? I kind of wanted to raise my skills before bothering with social links, but I am afraid I might be missing out on some conversations forever if I got too focused on maxing skills and the game will lead me to game over if I don't go to Tartarus.

you only really need to go to tartarus twice a month to get to each blockade
until the final month where you should go to tartarus more often than not

I only go to Tartarus when Mitsuru forced me to. Is that bad?

I don't think so, I'm pretty sure they stop forcing you after a bit too
personally I just got to the top of each floor in 1-2 days then used all of my remaining evenings for the two social links + stat boosts

For 3 and 4 the social links only give you bonus XP on fusions so it's not like they actually matter. You can go through the entire game with the bare minimum for social links and nothing about the ending will change. Besides, NG+ lets you transfer skill stats, so you can just do one run maxing your skills and the second run maxing your social links.

>I didn't enjoy it that much because I was missing a lot of social links
Then you will like P3 even less.
It's almost impossible to max all S.Link without following a day by day guide.

Everything you wrote seem like non-issues to anyone except OCD retards or regular retards. Stay away from 3 and 4. Play 5 since that game was made specifically for retards.

I don't have a PS4
Also I thought maxing social link is a must to get powerful personas

Just mainly focus on 2-3 social links at a time and make a routine for the stats you want to boost (I raise one stage at a time). Go to Tartarus/tv/palace early/quickly as possible. Relax, do fusions, buy items/equipment for next dungeon, sl's, and have fun after.

That helps

Thanks a lot

yes that's ridiculous, i usually do the full tartarus section on the first day and dont come back until next month

You may not be able to do everything in one playthrough, especially social links, but don't get hung up about it, unless that's what your going for. Pick the one's you like and stick w/ them, saving the one's you missed for new game+ (where you'll have even more time for SL's) The most important thing is to enjoy the ride your way.

You're not supposed to max all social links in one file, at least half of them are usually unfinished or unstarted for most people by the end. It's to encourage replayability.

The only way to max all social links in one playthrough of these games is to follow a very very specific guide that tells you how to spend literally every moment of your time, if you fuck up anywhere and deviate it becomes impossible to do, it also involves doing all tartarus sections in one day each and those times you go to tartarus being times when there are no social links available

Same goes for stats. I try to focus on maxing one or two stats each playthrough, only partially growing the others, almost like a build. One playthrough, I'll make a really strong and diligent mc, next one I'll make a charming and smart mc, etc, until their all maxed. This is to avoid getting overwhelmed doing too much at once.

This, you have to follow a guide to do a perfect playthrough in 3 and 4, not sure about 5 since I never finished it.

1) You aren't supposed to max S. Links in one go, that's why NG+ is a thing. The game is trying to incentivize you to get at least two runs out of it if you want to see all of the content. P3 is even worse in this regard.
2) Tartarus is not prioritized over IRL shit you do. You only need to go a few times a month if you aren't bad/on the hardest difficulty. If you hop into Tartarus one day and you feel underleveled, dedicate a day or two to grinding. It's pretty hard to legitimately fall behind in levels.

Complete Tartarus sections in one night
(always go solo up to the boss floor then bring the party).

You need a guide, but be aware that there are other ways to play. Status effects àre extremely useful in P3 and some even work on bosses.

>he needs to look up the answers for the school exams

I do it in every persona

Why would you do this you zoomer?
