When did you realize that western waifus are superior?
When did you realize that western waifus are superior?
Is Lammy Lamb western?
No.
>Deus Ex 4, Dishonored 2, Prey, Dishonored DOTO all in the space of a year and a half
>Immersive sims are fucking back
>Nothing since
Why is the world so cruel?
western waifus are ugly
Underworld 3 was released and it consisted more of bugs than features
White people can't make good video games anymore
>Immersive sims
This can describe literally any game, its not a genre
Name a game and I'll tell you why it isn't an immersive sim
Aria is cuter. Fuck that manipulative whore (not literally)
Appreciate what we got, three games are a lot
Again, immersive sim isn't a genre. What is Dishonored simulating?
theres nothing good about western games
AI that is programmed to react to everything in the level and objects that the player can freely manipulate in order to affect the AI. Systems that interconnect game mechanics with the world physics and the AI. Levels that are designed to be spaces with properties to exploit instead of arenas built around a single solution designed and tested by the game designers. And if you think all games do all this, you're simply wrong.
Sounds like Skyrim is an immersive sim.
BOTW is an immersive sim too I guess

Hey user, you sound much more informed than I in this subject.
I played DEHR and loved it. Played MD and the gameplay was superior in my opinion, but the story was abysmal compared to HR, still a 9 in my book.
Then I played Dishonoured and they were 3 of my favorite played games last year.
Then last week I played Prey and holy shit. Game of this generation for me and I didn't played before because I didn't even knew it was an imersive sim, I thought it was a shooter.
So, what other games I am missing like this? I played Bioshock 1, 2 and Inf already and I know about System Shock already, but is there more that I am missing?
Here's a catch though, I know this genre is best known for being on PC, but I played all of that on consoles, I can't get into M&K, hence why I never played The original DE for more than 2 hours.
>tfw no illuminati waifu
Arx Fatalis is kino, but I dunno if it's available on consoles.
The world and dungeons in Skyrim are specifically designed around the officially accepted modes of play. The game doesn't even have a climb function and every area is made out of ledges and cliffs to restrict the player's movement into specific paths. Also throwing around pots and pans does not alert the AI. You need to use specifically built-in distraction mechanics to affect them.
I would have to agree with many portions of that. BOTW indeed is chock full of interconnected systems that are freely manipulable by the player. And I don't think anyone has ever banned open world concepts from being in immersive sims. It's just Warren Spector's own idea that good games have depth instead of width. I haven't personally played BOTW though. Upon closer inspection I might come to the conclusion that every individual square meter does not have enough properties and interactivity for the game to count as a true immersive sim.
Dark Messiah of Might & Magic is a condensed and linear immersive sim focused on combat.
bullshit
i liked Call of Juarez and Outlaws
when RDR2 comes out on PC i'll probably enjoy that too
>>Deus Ex 4, Dishonored 2, Prey, Dishonored DOTO all in the space of a year and a half
>all flopped
good. they were souless brainless games
