I hope Berseria is simpler. Zestiria has too many systems and nuances. It's also annoying how equipment usually raises one stat while lowering most of the others. I never know whether the hell to equip anything or not. I hope Berseria returns to a more conventional system where only one stat is impacted.

What's the story, characters and world like? I can just rush through on easy if the gameplay is shit.

The Steam version was poorly done and very laggy on weaker computers. I got the game Christmas 2015 and it wouldn't run well on my laptop at the time. New laptop November 2016, mininal improvement. I upgraded again two months ago, and finally the game runs properly.

Berseria still retains the shitty random equipment, but now it's just one stat out of four. Gameplay is a bit too dumbed down for my taste, however it feels pretty fucking good. The VAs are pretty good in both the original and english dub. Well, maybe except for the shota, it feels like they had two completely different VAs do his lines, at times.

The port of Zestiria is OK if you're willing to go with 30FPS outside of battle. The game is pretty CPU intensive and only uses two cores properly, so you'll do better with good single core performance.
Berseria and Vesperia ran at a constant 60FPS for me, their ports were fine.

Is there a reason why the fuck seraphim were suddenly called malakhim in Berseria? Did someone bitch about the original name being too religious? Why not just go with the nips and call the fuckers spirits?

But both words are religious, they both come from the meaning of angel
