Fallout 76?

So, guys I've been watching the whole nightmare from the horizon, I've neither bought it, watched really any gameplay, or played it myself at all, nor did I do some real research... I don't even really have much of an opinion on it since I've bought Mafia III last year in form of the year1 edition for way under 20 bucks and it was a polished, not even once crashing game with all the dlcs included and I was prepared how I should actually play it in order to not grind it.

Now I want to freeroam and get my hunting rifle maxed out and nothing really more... just like 30 hours of fun. How am I going to do that? Did they fix all the nightmare crap? Is there content promised to make it less terrible? Are they going to port it over to Fallout 4?
Oh yeah and I've developed into a complete carebear outside fps, is there a way I can avoid all pvp and grieving bs?

even if they fixed all this broken heap of a game who would actually subject themselves to playing this rushed terrible open world survival early access?

fallout 76's gameplay loop is identical to fallout 4
just buy fallout 4

Ive seen multiple boomers wearing the pullover which means the game cant be that bad

Salutations fellow gamers! I'm just passing by to let you know the game is fully fixed and fine, in fact there was nothing really wrong with it, it was all just obsidian propaganda, they're jelous of how good the game is, and are trying to make it look bad. It's a shame you missed the power armor edition and the nuka cola rum, but you can still make it up to bethesda buy buying 76 and spending a minimum of 500$ in the amazing atom store. See you in the wasteland fellow wanderers!

game is currently improving and has had a lot of fixes so far. If you go into it without high expectations, you can get a enjoyable experience out of it. Get it cheap though. Not worth 60. 20 is good, maybe even 30.

I played it for 400 hours

some info
>game STILL randomly crashes once an hour or so (crash to desktop or server disconnected)
>if you play it solo its a 2/10 game...if with friends its an 8.5/10 and a casual fallout group experience

NB- latest patches made pvp in adventure more hard to happen so PVP is only basically allowed on PVP servers. on pvp servers you will spawn and die within 10 seconds flat due to a bunch of factors like mobbing and spawn camping/traps

the player base considers pvp as a mortal sin if initiated and will get offended and run away or start swearing not fight; all of this to the surprise of devs

also beth launcher decides to get stuck/not work once every 6 launches or so

The best thing to come out of 76 was that 30 minute Internet Historian video. Watched it like 5 times.

He's right you know, I understand it's hard not to have expectations when thinking of bethesda, the best company to grace the earth, but try to remember this is Todd's first multiplayer fallout game, you gotta give the guy a break, he's an amazing person, also handsome and tall too.

Same.
I even watched few reactions

who?

Dunno names, I just searched for reaction in youtube.
It was not really worth it. They either kept interrupting the video with unrelated stuff or didn't even watch it and talked over it.

I tried it recently to see if anything improved and damn, the performance is still shitty. I've got an i5 6500 and gtx 1060 and it runs like shit on lowest settings. The fps is fine for the most time but getting near a city induces crazy stutters and drops. Has anyone found a solution to this? I can't play like this

keep FOV at default and set to medium quality. also look up on game debate most taxing setting and lower them...like fog

The concept is fun. Its got a weird community that RPs a lot. I somewhat enjoyed it but the performance was awful. Crashed like 70% of time on scorchbeast queen.

I also did this and wasn't sure why I did. Maybe it was an excuse to just watch it 5 times in a row.

Buy the collectors edition.
They are cheap now on Amazon and the canvas bag is cool as hell

>canvas

i played for the first time again in months to try and get a backpack because carrying capacity was my biggest issue with the game. level 50 went to the swamp region id never been to as i have to hunt bugs there as part of the backpack quests. i find a suit of power armor and for some reason it let me pick it up even though i already have a power armor chassis. try to drop it and it keeps coming back to my inventory, whatever its just annoying for now. i finish the quest and want to fast travel away from this swamp area, but i cant because carrying capacity. attempt to get in my power armor to see if my carrying capacity is better there and i can fast travel. game glitches as i dropped both power armors and my character cant enter the chassis. have to exit server. reenter game to find out i now have no power armor at all. remember why i stopped playing this glitchy mess of a game. fuck fallout 76.

>reenter game to find out i now have no power armor at all

classic f76

also this op

>Its got a weird community

it DOES have a weird community. my highlight was meeting a guy who stayed in his room for 10 years and a guy who scammed items everyday for months in this game. both aged 38-42

Op here, thanks everybody, Specially you Rodd, I think I'm gonna wait another year and see how things turn out. Maybe when I finally replace my 1070 one day.

i am the 400 hour guy. if you like PvP stay clear of this game. pvp weapons/armor was completely nerfed and basically removed outside of pvp server this month in a patch

pvp servers in this game just youtube about them lol

Based and toddpilled.

Wait for the Steam release. Todd promised that it's coming later this year. Should be pretty polished by then.

don't buy the fucking game you moron

Only bought for the power armor helmet edition. Pretty mediocre game tho
