It's decent, if you enjoyed cod4 promod and competitive cod2, thats what the devs are catering towards, heavily competitive, easy to get into, takes a bit to learn the nades and spots, but easier if you take the effort to find a group of like-minded players or people you just enjoy fragging with

I had the 360 version which was 4v4 across all modes, but i just read the wiki and saw servers could hold 64 players. Thats wild, were there a lot of 64 player servers? Most of those maps were small as fuck from what I remember.

That was only because maps were small and the PS2 was weak. Also wifi wasn't amazing like today.

on pc the limit could go as high as 32v32

It plays like CoD4 Promod in WW2 (pretty much modern CoD5 Commod but very few people know about Commod compared to Promod).

there were any types of servers you want on PC, but the 32/64 ones were kinda too chaotic nade spam aids, promod was fun as hell for a while

At its peak yeah, on cod2 pc those servers would be rifles, or just tdm,
cod4 would usually be packed with 32v32 grindfests, its good if you just want to frag and nothing else

The custom server cap is 64, but you'd probably only see those servers fill up in EU primetime. Assuming the game even keeps its playerbase at all.
