I honestly don't care what you have to say.

ps4

Nobody really cares except for PS4 owners.

PS exclusive

Because you either need a source code or reverse engineer the entire thing. Neither of which is realistically possible.

And you can't, like, get the source code through the game somehow?

No.

Playstation and Xbox have binaries specifically made for them, meaning you cannot run an exe on an xbox and you cannot run the xbox equivalent of an exe on windows, just like you can't run a windows program on linux (without wine). Meaning, you have to make an emulator to run these games. Emulators are really inefficient, because they have to represent hardware at a software level. Also, emulators are hard to make because all of the details of the hardware are usually not made public so it takes a dedicated team time to find out enough about the machine in order to make an emulator.

holy cow even for a brainlet you're pretty dumb user

Because nobody cares enough to put in the effort.

>ported

Sony owns the IP. It was a joint development between From and Japan Studio, same case as Demon's Souls and the same reason why that never got ported.

Because it's already on PS now for free? I've beaten it 3 times so far, with online which I didn't have to pay for like some consolecuck.

because ps4 needs to have at least ONE good exclusive game

Yeah, same. But there's no Old Hunters, so fuck that.

I already played that and it's honestly pretty disappointing. My friend who I convinced to buy it wanted to fucking kill me afterwards (it was more expensive than the base game)

Goty edition is like $20, pkek

>all this boring tech bullshit excuse
>people actually work to emulate wii, wii u, and switch
Either your full of shit to some extent, nintendo seems to give no shits, or sony/microsoft actually have no worthwhile games. Probably a mix of all three.

Shouldn't a PS4/Xbone emulator be easy to make since they're basically PCs?

It's going to be released on Epic store anyways so it's going to get cracked fairly quickly i think.

user nintendo things have the computing power of fucking toasters

No. They're still complex machines and without documentation on the unique hardware and instructions they use, of which there is a lot, it's going to be very hard to emulate them. As far as I can remember, Nintendo consoles have generally either had some documentation leaked or have been based off previous consoles closely enough that some things can carry over.

Video games would not exist as an industry if this were possible. That is why it is called a "source code."

That was a helpful post. Thank you.

You could play it on PC but only via PSNOW which is a ridiculously expensive streaming service with a ton of lag.

Sauce?

no because they're compiled, meaning the written code is transformed to a sequence of instructions for the processors which aren't in human language
you can translate them back but it won't be accurate, sorta like translating the same sentence back and forth on google translate, and on top of that there are measures taken so that translating it back will give you nonsense
