why would anyone pay Blizzard 15$++ a month for Vanilla filled with sharding, streamer cults and nu-gamer assholes when you can just play on private servers with great communities for free?
Why would anyone pay Blizzard 15$++ a month for Vanilla filled with sharding...
Paying 15 dollars to avoid the chinese hivemind is almost a gift
Because the private servers are inevitably shut down by Blizzard. Official servers won't have that risk associated with it.
*dabs*
Name 2 of these decent communities giving their take on classic.
nostalgia is a powerful drug.
I liked Vanilla, but I remember why I quit WoW in the first place: it gets boring.
It's only fun on raid days, and even then it gets monotonous very fast. It's also annoying when you have to repeat the same raids over and over to get the loot you want, and you start to feel like you're a hamster running on a wheel.
I'm gonna play Mordhau and maybe a good single player RPG will be announced at e3. Bloodlines 2 looks pretty promising too, hopefully.
because i don't want to play on a shitty eu hosted server with 140 ping, bad code, ivans and chinks shitting up the server with bots, and gms that sell gold for irl money.
also
>implying i'm going to pay 15 dollars a month instead of buying wow tokens with retail gold.
>great communities
maybe if your name is alexei or xiao
$15 is very small compared to the hundreds of hours you'll be sinking into leveling a character, unless you're a neet and your time is worthless. Spending a literal week of ingame time only to have your server shut down because the russians who own it decide it's much easier to just sell thunderfuries which causes mass exodus does not feel worth it. Blizzard is a shitstain company but at least i know classic will be around for a long as time and my effort isn't going anywhere. Besides, once it comes out that'll be the main sink for the vanilla community, and nobody wants to play on anything but the "big" server.
>chinks
>huge amount of bugs
>funserver adjustments to compensate for the funserver changes like ridiculous population caps
>everyone is in a different time zone, making it harder to find people to play with
>high ping
>shitty 1.12 client with broken fov, unfixable stutter, and bugs that will never get fixed
>I suck at pvp the post
Nice. Just go play BFA faggot.
>Because the private servers are inevitably shut down by Blizzard
do people really still believe this? entire projects have and do easily stay up for 4+ years which is longer than vanilla itself ever was around for...
