The engine is by far the most fluid in 3, making the gameplay finally tolerable. 2 has build diversity going for it and 1 is a boring walking simulator. It should have been a turn based roguelike like they originally intended.

Half Life 3. An unreleased game living rent free in one's imagination for years is always going to be miles better than any real game.
I can say the same of Shenmue III but that's actually gonna be released and normalfags will raise a shitstorm over it yet again because even after a decade they can't fathom that the game isn't an action game or beat em up.

3 is basically Gauntlet except they've slapped on Borderlands fuckhuge damage, sponge bosses, shitty character building, and an awful plot. The "fluid engine" is all the game has.

1 was good shit, 2 is technically the better game, but it's debatable. i enjoy them both for different reasons.
3 improved upon the gameplay, i guess, but the story is so pants on head retarded from the get go, i didn't even bother playing the last couple missions or dlc. gonna replay them all with mods this summer/fall and see how it goes.
my headcannon is that the reaper plot gets tied up when shepard crashed the asteroid into the relay in the arrival dlc. that should have delayed the reapers by like a century.
