2.1 adds several things that were scrapped from launch. The Stormwind Vaults dungeon (accessible for Horde via a side entrance in the mountains of Elwynn) for mid-level players. Pretty much Stormwind's Violet Hold. Bael Modan dungeon for level cap players in the Barrens - Uldaman-style. Azshara gets an update that makes it actually questable since in Classic it's completely unfinished.

2.2 focuses on gothic-humanity. Opens up Gilneas as a contested level 30 zone for both Horde and Alliance. Karazhan Crypts is introduced as a high level dungeon. Karazhan Tower is introduced as a raid.

2.3 adds Furbolg to the Alliance and Goblins to the Horde, with Mt. Hyjal and Kezan respectively as starting zones. Barrow Deeps as the Furbolg city and the Undermine as the Goblin city.

2.4 adds Gillijim's Island and the Island of Doctor Lapidis. Doctor Lapidis dungeon. Inaccessible areas of Stranglethorn become an elite level 60 subzone with some quests.

2.5 adds Tol Barad, Zul'Dare and Crestfall to Baradin Bay - mid 50s zones and tiny. Baradin Hold is added as a dungeon.

2.6 adds Death Knights (start at level 1). Greenwood Pass is introduced as a small level 60 zone. Inaccessible parts of the Plaguelands become elite zones.

2.7 adds Tel'Abim as a level 20 zone. Various parts of Azeroth are made into elite subzones for max-level players. New reputation factions added for them.

2.8 adds Quel'thalas and Zul'Aman. Sunwell dungeon and a raid on the capital of the Amani. Silvermoon is a neutral city reluctantly open to the Horde and Alliance.

2.9 adds High Elves who start in Elwynn for the Alliance and Ogres who start in Durotar for the Horde. Kul Tiras is added as a level 40 zone. Caverns of Time becomes a level 40 dungeon. Dragon Isles raid next to Quel'Thalas.

2.10 adds some new Blackrock and Wildhammer themed zones. Adds Blackrock and Wildhammer themed customization to dwarves and Dragonmaw themed customization to orcs. Grim Batol is opened.

I’ve always played male UD, so I’m going orc female. They’re pretty comparable in PvE, the main difference is that SL warlocks never lose a fight so it doesn’t matter, while conflag warlocks can potentially get killed by rogues, unless you resist a stun, which can turn the fight around. There’s going to be less locks on alliance side, and priests have to get close to fear you. I’m not entirely sure about shadow priests, but I think you lose the matchup anyway, fear or no fear. But they’re garbage outside of 1v1.
It’s like orc vs UD rogues, either race can be good, but it’s probably better to improve your weaker matchups. And playing female orc is really growing on me. The only weakness in animations they have is the worst dance, everything else is really pretty, particularly if you e played UD male for years.

There's literally nothing wrong with new races and classes as long as they're done in a vanilla style. The only fucky one is furbolgs the rest is obvious picks that were left out for some reason. Imagine playing a DK and they actually get to have an army of skeletons they raise from each corpse they kill, class quests for runeblades, the option to betray your own faction to the scourge, can gather stuff from corpses to craft abominations and plagues, it's fucking awesome my dude.

Part of it is the attention you get (see ), but people generally like to be part of a group that they can have fun with. It's sometimes hard to find communities like these, but it's super easy to join a streamer's discord.

You just reminded me of this slippery fucking nelf druid that was in northshire as my guild was raiding it during the stress test.
He was smarter than every other alliance player there due to him knowing that it's a bad idea to run solo into a full raid of horde. He kept to the edges throwing out moonfires and baiting people with his invis racial. Everytime we overran the alliance raid he would be the first to run back to the cathedral, so the guard would protect him.
When I finally caught him with a frostbolt it was all over; god that was a good feeling having everyone in the raid cheer over his death.

Hunters are still by far one of the best PvP classes at 60, Warrior is a meme unless they have a pocket healer

Reminder that if you're not in the Beta you're missing out on the peak classic experience. Everyone in the Beta is just having fun and doing big events together. When Classic officially launches everyone will be spread out across different servers and taking it too seriously.

Blizzards Classic might be different, due to retailbabs can't play "ugly" n64 characters, but they're the ones I expect to quit long before reaching 60 anyway.

For PvE? Probably gnome, but only by a slim margin. They got that 5% int boost, but the rest of their racials are mostly useless in PvE. After gnomes would be Orc, mostly for their increased pet damage, but warlocks tended not to use their pets in raids. Then undead because shadow resistance is useful sometimes, and will of the forsaken can help on certain encounters. Humans are last because their racials do not help warlocks in pve AT ALL, unless you count rep grinding.

For PvP, undead, hands down. Will of the forsaken is just that good. Second is orcs, for stun resist, and the fact that they don't have to face off against undead. On the alliance side, gnomes have escape artist and the occasionally useful arcane resistance. Humans only have stealth detection.

For lore, Orcs take the cake. Humans and undead are tied. Gnomes are fucking gnomes.

Find Treasure is also incredibly underrated, the extra frost resistance will also help you against 99% of mages who take up 1/3 of the server. Gun specialization is probably the only meme racial unless Blizzard decides to add end game guns into the classic itemization.

I wonder what sort of potential master demonologist has. I mean, the main thing holding warlock DPS back is threat capping. Master demonologist means more pet DPS, which doesn't add to your own threat, and if you're using an imp, it also means you do 20% less threat. Though, I understand that warlock pets are quite fragile, and generally not suitable for raids, imps can turn intangible on command, and if your pet dies, you're probably gonna be threat capping anyways, so you might as well take the time to revive them.
