I could download Destiny 2 whenever I want since it's in my PS+ library, however I'd rather save the space for something better.

The game became incredibly repetitive by end game. When DLC came out it was more of the same shit reskinned.

From a developer standpoint I can understand their reasoning for all the nerfs coming. Designing activities around certain items just makes reliance on those items more common.
However their take on nerfs has always been scorch earth. Break it to a point of being useless then tune it again later on if you're lucky.

I really wanted to get into this because I like quick FPS and the worlds are gorgeous and give that feeling of vastness, but goddamn the game is boring after a while

In D1 yes. In D2 only the 2 new worlds look interesting. All the other ones look boring.

Add to this that the ported section of earth from D1 looks better than 90% of D2.

D2 just feels more fantasy compared to the levels from the original game.

Its been teased, plus they have to do something. Annual Pass 2 will not keep Bungie afloat.

Because they wanted to generate excitement for the game by adding an OP weapon to get casuals to grind for - now they'll take it away again to make the new raid harder to give streamers more time to get views. They always do this shit, whatever is necessary to get the right people excited about the game at the right time.
