the game is called Sherwood Dungeon apparently and it was a MMO you play on a web browser, not sure if it was on miniclip but there was another game that was just like it but it was like a social astronaut browser MMO... moon something(?) if that's the M you're thinking of

I played this game before and after they added dungeons
I even played the moon one and the tanks game they had.
Those were the days

That game seemed weird to me as a kid. So it was just the one area and that dungeon right? Was it some kind of MMO that got dropped early in development and just kind of released as is?

The only thing I remember about this game was equipping rings, going in dungeons, and getting my ass whooped by giant spiders.

It had a few re-skinned islands with re-skinned enemies of varying levels, ultra generic fetch quests, and an infinite floor dungeon.
