I'll give you season 1, but you have to be beyond retarded to think anything after that is good. Telltale did a lot of shitty things but one of their worst crimes was milking that IP into the fucking ground and then digging it back up to rape the bones.

Stranger Things is getting a game at some point but it won't be the CYOA format, GoT can go die in a fire, and Wolf is a dead IP that no one except the most autistic of DCfags and would care about unless we time travel back to 2005 when Fables was at the height of its popularity. Fables could make for a good show. Nowadays in a world where grimdark comics like Preacher and Umbrella Academy and fucking Happy can get feasibly adapted, I'm not saying it's impossible. But Fables' premise is a gimmick that isn't very popular in Hollywood anymore (edgy grimdark fairy tales) and it's incredibly similar to Once Upon a Time which I could see working against it pitching it to a studio. And Bill "Take the Redpill" Willingham co-owns the IP and he's very very stingy on letting people use it. It's amazing TWAU even got made and Telltale got away with writing it the way they did, because it's absolutely nothing like the comic.

I take more issue with the idea of characters who were created by actual human writers like Dickens and Washington Irving being Fables. How does that fucking work and which came first? Did Irving just write The Legend of Sleepy Hollow one day and Ichabod Crane simultaneously popped into existence in fairy tale land? Or did he always exist and somehow Irving was receiving some kind of magical influence that made him write the story?
Like if you really sit and think about it, nothing about this universe makes sense. The fact that they call themselves FABLES implies they've always known they were fictional characters. I honestly wish the game was separate from the comics or just vaguely inspired by the source material is insanely retarded.

The comics are nothing like the game. The things that happen in TWAU that are treated seriously and played for drama would be treated like a joke in Fables. Bigby and Snow but Bigby especially are completely different characters in the comic too.

God I actually really enjoyed Telltale's Sam and Max games. It's a shame all of their quality apparently went out with those games.
