This is objective fact.

put them all in F tier and then we'll talk

deal

100% based

Pokemon has remained mostly the same, with some gameplay improvements

Trying to tier them is a futile effort, a person's favorite Pokemon game is the first one they played

The series also operates on a fleeting demographic; people outgrow the series and get replaced with new kids in a never-ending cycle

That's actually a decent list. Good job, user.

This is the first one of these tier lists I've seen on Yea Forums that's actually correct

My first pokemon game was Crystal. My favorite is BW2

>emerald above the gen 2 remakes
>moon and sun below x and y
>gen 1 not in d tier
oh shit nigger what are you doin

>HGSS in S tier
>RBY and B/W that low
>D/P that high
nah get the fuck outta here

>the duality of man

objective shitty opinion that's not worth a thread

Gen 1 > imitations

EXTREMELY close, but just swap USUM with Alpha & Omega, then bump RBY and GSC up one tier each.

If HGSS isn't S tier then nothing is, kys

Gen 1 was buggy and barebones even by the standards of its time

Literally the only reason it was successful because of Mew and the anime, the game itself was nothing special, it was carried entirely by the marketing machine

>Great
HGSS, BW2, Platinum, FRLG, Emerald
>Good
RBY, GSC, RS, DP, BW
>Okay
XY, ORAS, SM/USUM
>They just didn't care
Let's Go

honestly yeah it kind of is. I would move up B/W up to B but otherwise it's perfect

This is the only correct answer.

Also, Gen 5 sucks ass and I don't get why all you fags like it.

What makes the Gen 5 games so bad?

Gen 5 gets more love in recent years because it was free from KANTOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pandering

In Gens 6 and 7 you can't take two steps without Kanto being brought up, but Gen 5 stood in its own instead of relying on nostalgia

My first game was Yellow. My favorite is Colosseum

>objective fact

>gen 3 in C
shit taste

I hate literally all of the Pokemon designs, I don't like any of them in XYSM either but BW really is the worst of the worst imo. The region was extremely linear and boring to adventure through, and this is also the gen when Pokemon became way too easy. Also I thought the story was pretty pretentious.

>Gen 5 in F
>Emerald in C
>D/P in A
Atleast you put Crystal above G/S. What a fucking shit tierlist.

I'll take it

Stop spouting nonsense dumbass
First game: Red
Favorite: HGSS

Now which pokemon are the most fuckable?

>Black 2 / white 2 top.
>handholdy remakes top
>superior originals on bottom
>All of gen 1-3 on bottom

Cringe
Try again

>and this is also the gen when Pokemon became way too easy
Dumbass johtocuck

>B-C
>bottom
Try again

>>All of gen 1-3 on bottom
Where they should be after based Gen 4 made the obsolete.

Drop Ruby/Sapphire down one level
Bring Red/Blue up on level, yellow can stay where it is
X/Y can go up two levels

Ok is good.

On the topic, what rom-hacks can you guys recommend? Would I be better off asking at /vp/?

Isn't there a tier missing?

Lmao story is shit in pokemon no matter what. B/W was pretty bad but B/W2 was fucking great, way more challenging than really any other entry even had a hard mode, had tons to explore, great QoL improvements, hidden abilities, and gave you a ton of options for teambuilding in a normal playthrough so you weren't stuck with just gen 5.

Did you play B/W2?

>gen 2 games

literally shitty kanto with a shitty kanto added on top

I don't know what you're talking about user, it was my plan all along to get you to post that gif.

yes, also none of them.
Maybe one of the hacks that expands the pokedex but every rom hack I've played felt off or goes of the rails at some point in terms of difficulty or story.

I wish this were true.

>Crystal same rank as Ruby and Sapphire
>Crystal same rank as Gold and Silver

>Trying to tier them is a futile effort, a person's favorite Pokemon game is the first one they played
My first was Blue. I picked Bulbasaur. I won Blue with Struggle. After that, no game could really compete due to the sheer experience of that. I never again had the moment of desperation and as such the victories were never as sweet as that first time.

Crystal was okay. It's the only one I ever raised something to 100 in. An Espeon. I can't remember Ruby. I didn't play Diamond despite buying it.

Close. Swap Platinum with HG/SS, drop G/S/C to D, and we've got a deal. Even though HG/SS are great games, they still suffer from most things that made Gen 2 shit
>Terrible Pokemon variety
>Awful pacing
>Boring, empty region
>Kanto is also boring and empty (though fixed a bit in HG/SS)
>Terrible EXP curve leaving your team overleveled and fighting shitmons one hour, and then the next hour you're fighting a Kingdra with 10 levels on your main Pokemon, and 20 levels on the surrounding non-Gym trainers
>Worst "story" of any Pokemon game. Somehow manage to be as boring and handholdy as Sun and Moon, while having the substance of Red and Blue.
Following Pokemon were great, Sinnoh and Hoenn sounds were amazing, classic BGM radio station was a fantastic edition for nostalgia-fags, and adding in the Battle Frontier, 2 new routes, and a new Safari Zone went way above and beyond what the other remakes did, but it's still remaking the weakest generation in the series.

I'd move the Ultras up to A, especially if you didn't play the originals. Everything else is correct.

Oh, and after Gen 2 is when Pokemon started getting really fucking retarded. There are like 10 electric rodents now, but Gen 3 is when that started. They started rehashing old concepts and designs and desperately reaching for new creatures. The designs got desperate and uninspired to fill a larger and larger roster. Gen 3 was still half alright, but everything after seems like factory produced trash.

RGBY, HGSS and BW are S tier
everything else can be A, B, or ass

Put RBY and GSC in S tier

>They started rehashing old concepts and designs and desperately reaching for new creatures.

Completely fucking wrong

Polished Crystal is a great QoL and mechanics update. Also adds in new elements from HGSS. Far less bullshit than your average romhack.

>objective fact
Any subjective facts anyone would like to share?

Very similar to what I have

Attached: 1557777243085.png (1020x776, 556K)

I'm of the personal belief that Gen 3 ranks among the worst. Just don't find them enjoyable, and I definitely would not hold them to the same value as Gen 2. B/W are far better than D/P. Haven't played LGP/E, but they don't seem that bad. Just simplified.

>crystal in B
wrong

>Would I be better off asking at /vp/
Yes, seeing as to how they have a dedicated general for that shit. Drayano hacks tend to be solid.

Attached: Pokemon_Games_Tierlist.png (1280x734, 1.25M)

S tier
>The first one you play
Same thing with a slightly updated coat of paint tier
>All the rest

Pokemon changes less from iteration to iteration than CoD does.
