Was everything more kino in the 90s?

Was everything more kino in the 90s?

No, but everything was more extreme and cool

Attached: 1558287842979.jpg (1080x1080, 119K)

it was alright but not as good as the 1950s

Things were more vibrant in the 90s. Probably because people actually went outside.

it was easier to get away with crimes back then

Attached: 1557958184953.png (1500x1016, 1.79M)

The 90s was the best time to be a kid. Fact.

Attached: hDdlF5u.jpg (1440x1920, 543K)

Yeah but if you were a kid in the 90s, you wouldn't be watching Shawshank Redemption or Pulp Fiction.

That's false if your parents were poor.

>14" tv's

i saw one these days and it's fucking tiny. I had one in my bedroom and never felt it was lacking but in hindsight I don't even know how the fuck I could wacth anything from more than 12ft away.

I miss being a kid, stop hurting me Yea Forums

Everything culturally was more kino before this shitty decade.
You certainly didn't have Instagram bullshit back in the 90s.

early 2000's was still comfy.
2010+ was, or is, shit.

The internet was a mistake

Attached: 56fef8d2cbe1d.image.jpg (1200x1595, 264K)

Isn't it bizarre that we determine the culture of an era by the merchandise that we purchased?

Attached: 1533612188880.gif (490x490, 839K)

I like Rocket Power.

Attached: 1539181520381.gif (250x250, 351K)

It's because social media and smartphones became huge starting in 2010. They were a massive gamechanger for the world.

Ok, I'm gonna be honest. That gif is just as cringeworthy as the fidget spinner fad.

no, the mistake was allowing normies into it.
the first time I saw that sister was using msn messenger, and addicted to it, I knew all was lost.

we also had to share a desktop, so I was also pissed as fuck.

>no social media
>no cellphones
>no rapefugees
>no climate change urgency
>no SJWs
>no disappointing graphical leaps between consoles
>no DLCs, paid content or digital games

Yup, 90s were based

YOu"RE CRINGEWorTHYH PLS RESPOND TO MY INSIGFHTFUL COMNMEBNTS

>no SJWs
HAHAHA
If you only knew...

The merch mirrors the culture it was made in.

Reminder that this is Katie Tiedrich.
She's so fucking adorable. Norrin is a lucky bastard.

Shes probably a whore by now

That's early 2000s. But yes, pre 9/11 was kino.

youd define it like that.
I define the 90's by getting drunk downtown with mah frens, listening to grunge and/or heavy metal, and doing stupid shit all over the city.

The 2000s was basically The 90s: The Squeakuel, so it's understandable why you would make that mistake. However, that pic is definitely from the 90s.

You can literally smell that disgusting mixture of fart, cheap girly perfume and plastic toys

Attached: piscoalomacho.jpg (480x324, 25K)

dlcs of games you like is actually a good thing. ck2 keeps getting better. just put games on your wishlist and wait for a sale you fucking nerd. digital games are good but the death of box art sucks

Attached: Capture.png (265x109, 19K)

I hate this place, every year, more fags join us.

crap, I just had to google her, haven't I?
thanks pal.

This made me remember that time I gave my neighbor my old VCR for his yard sale but forgot I left a porn tape inside.

Attached: 1550180342462.png (960x696, 669K)

Nostalgia is a disease

Everything pre 9/11 was yes.

Weird, Bionicle actually started in 2001.

I stand corrected. She must have been 12 or 13 in that pic then, because I remember she was already making comics on DeviantArt as early as 2005.

No, stop nostagiafagging - I'm old enough to remember the whole decade beginning to end

Like milk

>being immune to sentimentality

I wish I had this power

tf is this, maplestory 2? midgets with tits looks so stupid, like some kind of added disfiguration

Fucking finally, first half was good but everything from 2014 onwards was the biggest shitfest ive seen,

Ah, come on. She's a cute jewess.

coming back from school seeing all of those fags watching tv from the sidewalk at every store front not knowing the fuck was going on was kino. Then I got home and had a huge laugh and might even have danced a bit just like a mossad.

Those are parents vhs'

>by now
how do you think she got all that stuff?

>56K modem download speeds

Nah I'm good.

Its not that the 90's were better so much as it was the rise of the internet ruining everything.

Mass adoption of internet, social media, connecting people 24/7 was one of the worst things to happen to us as a society and everything is shit now because of it

I miss the 90's. I don't want to say it was carefree, but compared to what was coming in the early 00's, it feels like in hindsight no one was really afraid of what was to come.

Man, fuck 9/11

>I'm old enough to remember the whole decade beginning to end
wtf, that would make you what, late teens now?
fuck off kid, you can't understand nostalgia because you're still living your late infancy. ffs

priuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu grrrrrshhhhhhhhhhh bleim bleim bleim grsssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh poim poinnnnn poinnn tuck

Nope That's why everyone hates life now. back in the 90s things didn't cost so fucking much, minorities, gays, trans and gamers weren't demanding equality as much nor were women, games could be as offensive and sexy as they wanted, music was about stories rather than sex and politics and the world knew not to fuck with us.

it's been nothing but despair and suffering since the year 2000, so much I really wish all that Y2K shit actually happened

this, everything became shit after that.

>would have to be born in 1986 at the latest to remember it all
>late teens now

Attached: 1551935550088.png (645x729, 80K)

I wouldn't even go that far. 2010 was when things went to shit.
-Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Ke$ha all hit the Top 40
-Social media platforms including Facebook and Twitter start booming; Instagram is founded
-It starts becoming common to see people using smartphones
-Advice animals and rage comics mark the normiefication of memes
-My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic debuts
-Pop wins the musical culture war of the late '00s between alt-rock/emo and pop, creating the pop-controlled world we live in today

2010 was the real turning point.

>that fluffy thing

what the fuck were those? I saw them a lot but did they actually have a function?

ok what kid got a brand new mac as their personal computer

Not the internet, social media was.

Funnily enough, some would consider Yea Forums to be social media.

All that clutter and lack of space is triggering me.

That’s obviously a fucking

90s was shit 00s was a objectively better decade
90s music is complete trash escpecially the later years of 97 8 and 9

Obviously a kid with rich parents.

No it wasn't 2000 was the turning point that's when garbage like reality TV really started taking off and dumb shit like american idol started finding it's roots then a year later muslims attacked the US and corporate and corrupt government officials got a massive good excuse to start taking away more of American freedoms and spying on us. you're a fucking fool if you think the world wasn't garbage before 2010, a goddamn fucking fool.

Attached: b.jpg (2894x4093, 2.05M)

I'll say it once and I'll say it again. Transparent plastic was the peak of everything.

Pop has always controlled the world, it stands for "popular."

okay, you only got selfware after you turned 24, and that makes ME a retard?
we were talking about the 2010's

Social media is tied to your real identity.

it makes colors

Honestly everything was pretty good up until the recession

there was a small light at the end of the tunnel in 2011 that things were looking up then 2012-2014 everything flipped on its head and everyone hates eachother

Attached: 1449806214690.jpg (320x240, 10K)

They light up and look cool in the dark. They also have a nice feel to them. Amazes me that such things entertained us as kids when today's youth go on school shootings if they don't have a 800 dollar tablet by age 5.

Fuck off.
If there's one thing I don't miss from the 90s it's beige and plastic.

Attached: remilia yuck.png (551x491, 261K)

A bunch of anons talking isn't really the same. Besides if Yea Forums not existing was the price of deleting any social media i would pay it in a heartbeat.

Thats a big dildo
your poor teenage asshole must've been trough a lot, sorry user, you had it rough

90s was get high and rave and crowd surf. 00s was about creeping police states and paranoia. They were nowhere near the same unless you were in school the whole time.

some would consider those people to be retards

>no sjw's
zoomer detected. sjw's were a thing in the 90s but they briefly died out on the 00's before coming back with a vengeance.

>Spoiler
Why do you say that? Not that you're wrong, except for calling me a teenager.

Attached: 1462157947923.jpg (468x595, 42K)

Would never have thought seeing the Numa Numa guy would make me nostalgic for the better times one day. Evil, dark times and we live in.

Attached: 1552777874150.jpg (1024x682, 76K)

Reality TV existed since the 90s, and no one actually gave a shit about any of it until Kim Kardashian became big in the 2010s (thanks to social media influence). American Idol? I don't think that was a major shift. It was just a music contest show, didn't have any power. And 9/11 was tragic, I'm not disagreeing with you there, and Bush's presidency was fucking horrible, but that's historical, not cultural. While history has an impact on culture, every period has some bad things happening historically. The 90s had the Oklahoma City Bombing, Columbine and the Waco Siege, and that was in America alone!
When we talk about "kino decades", we're talking about the culture/atmosphere, not the historical/political events.

>90's
>obviously early 00's

>all those studies that the average teen spends like 8 hours a day on their phone/internet surfing
>remember mid-2000s when the biggest fucking troglodyte nerd capped out at like 6 hours average bar the occasional LAN party

Internet ruined us, internet shouldn't have become mainstream, if it stayed as a tool for research only it'd have been better.

dunno the first seasons of survivors was really popular here for some reason.

Between early to mid 90s, SJW existed but they didn’t have positions of power nor were taken seriously. A lot of the times they were mocked. Times changed siiip

>Emperor's New Groove on VHS

This ain't the 90s. None of these pics are. Not that any of you lot would know what the 90s were like. Unlike this bored old man.
