Why the is everyone sucking Oot's dick if Tp is objectively the better game and don't come with me with the "well it didn't do anything new with the mechanics" bullshit i could say that Mario sunshine just added a water gun and extra jump, what i'm trying to say is that Tp was made in a time of refinement and if they tried to do anything too extreme they could ended up with something even more similar to the sonic unleashed werehog.

It did do new things but they were poorly fleshed out.

It's competent at everything else, making it consistent but also feeling paint-by-numbers.

TP is way slower, the brown gets tiring and the field is empty.
OoT is more compact, has actual colors and the field is empty but small enough

>poorly fleshed out
> also feeling paint-by-numbers
aka I have no actual complaints

because it's boring

OoT is just better paced and more consistent all the way through. TP's biggest problem is that it feels so bloated, and most of the refinements it makes are trivial anyway. A lot of the combat maneuvers are neat, but it's not as if the game utilizes them well.

I really enjoyed TPs art style.

TP is a fucking railroad without alot of dailouge. Just let me fucking start the first temple god damn it

>everybody loving TP now

this happens every time. It used to be wind waker idolized a few years ago, now TP, if this trend follows we could see Skyward sword idolized in the same way *shudders*

TP was never really hated

No, skyward sword is really bad

The only thing TP did better than OoT was manage to have a larger world with even less in it.

Wolf mechanic also felt forced.

It's too easy is the problem. You're given all these different tools to approach combat but you never have to actually use any of them because all you ever need to do is lock on and wait for an opening, and even if you do get hit there's almost no enemies that deal more than 1/4th a heart of damage.

I loved the idea of the final battle with Ganon being a straight-up swordfight with no gimmicks, but he's just so slow and passive and barely ever attacks.

SW felt like a banjo kazooie game, and I hate those games.
Go through this big ass area 4-5 times doing inane shit

TP is horribly mediocre. It's incredibly easy, presents little challenge, and is empty as fuck.

Skyward Sword was worse though. I gave it one play through and never returned. Not even to wrap up collecting heart containers and other shit like I always do.

Breath of the Wild though? Didn't even finish it.

>no dungeons
>nothing but shrines, which get incredibly repetitive
>empty fucking world
>every weapon, even Master Sword, has the durability of a soggy stick

If they'd of halved the size of the world and put 8 actual dungeons in in place of the 100+ shrines, I'd of been much happier with it.

>No twilight princess HD on switch but it is on Wii U
This doesn't even make sense

Nobody sucks OoT's dick anymore. People realized that game was shit a long time ago.

>objectively the better game
not with that three hour prologue it isn't, though it's still a good 3D Zelda

You think the Wolf form is well-rounded and useful? You think the Twilight Realm segments are interesting? A game feeling too familiar isn't a problem to you? We're not robots.

It is roughly mediocre and its very fault was in trying so hard to be like a serious gritty edgy version of OoT. Not only did PoT execute the darkness factor better, the pacing and progression in TP is an extremely tedious slog. Don't get me started about the wolf bits. It could have been fun but it ended up being a mindless collection in a dull universe.

It's like one of those dark gritty reboots to disney movies. I will give it this though, it's the last Zelda that felt like Zelda.

Speak for yourself

Don’t get me wrong, I REALLY like TP because of the art style, character design & soundtrack. I had a lot of fun on TP
But OOT is just the better game.
Also honorable mention to majoras mask bc goddamn that game was unique

>Why the is everyone sucking Oot's dick if Tp is objectively the better game
Because it isn't.
OoT's dungeons are still better and TP's pacing is abysmal

every 3D zelda game is easy, TP is no outlier

I agree. TP has its faults, but so does OOT.

>*shudders*
Go back to your ERP discord, jesus christ.

Also, skyward sword is flawed but I and a lot of people enjoyed it.
