DOOM is bigger than Thanos in terms of a threat since he'll become the leader of the entire universe. They probably figured She-Hulk was the equivalent of a female of a beast race in a MMO. You know where the males are big and ugly while the females are basically women painted another color with some small added accessories.

The first issue of Cho Hulk has a flashback where Banner is about to straight-up meltdown, and Cho goes in with a suit designed to siphon the energy. He saves Banner's life despite Banner telling him that he wouldn't curse being the Hulk on his worst enemy, let alone a friend like Amadeus.

It's the one thing I really loved about Cho Hulk. At least in universe, it's not treated like a mantle. It's treated like a friend taking on a burden for another. Of course the tone of the comic itself is more lighthearted outside of Cho learning to control himself when he gets emotional, but it's still better than most of the other diversity legacy heroes.
