Jak 1 was great, the sequels were less so but still worth playing.
Ratchet is GOAT I love all four original games and I even like the PS3 titles.
Didn't play Sly.

I didn't play Jak but Ratchet is just downhill from 2. As soon as they changed his voice and smoothed out his rough edges it all started to crumble. 3 felt very cheap and the Future games are very blah and the plot starts really sucking. Not that any of them aren't fun but 1 was really special.

I liked all the Sly games but the fucking mini-games and not-sly characters really overstay their welcome in 3. Didn't play the last one to come out, heard bad things though.

Controversial but good opinion. Ratchet 1 has a certain charm that the later entries didn't capture, even though on paper they improved the game a lot.

How are the HD versions of each game on ps3?

I played all the jak games but only the first sly and the first 2 ratchet and clank games.

Jak 1s level and world design was so much fun. Sly 4 was an abomination

Sly series ports are fucking flawless.
Jak 1 is flawless, Jak 2 and 3 has some dips but they are very rare and only on certain parts but nothing major and they are playable without issues.
Ratchet series is good too but lacks some many smaller things like falling show because they made the games under extremely use of magic engineering know only to those that made the original games, not a big deal troughr if you never played the games and only to be a nitpicker.

Don't try to play Jak games on PSvita trought, they are atrocious.

ratchets personality and appearance were progressively butchered, then we got the bland movie and disgusting mess of a remake game.

Yeah, the gameplay improved somewhat as it went on. I also didn't love the level up system. Made the games much much easier I think. Ratchet 1 is fucking hardcore.

I didn't like the RPG mechanics but not because of the difficulty. I think Ratchet 1 has the most balanced weapon selection, and all the weapons remain useful up to the endgame.

One thing I like about Ratchet 1 and 2 is that the gold/platinum bolts directly help you upgrade your weapons. It's a darn shame that this was dropped in later games because it rewarded exploring the levels, but then the level design in later games was simplified too.

Sly wins for at least having a good outfit design and colour palette. To be desu to you basedns, Kirby and Fox are cereal box tier as well.

Ratchet, every game was good.
Sly 1 > 2 > 3 and same goes for Jak. They both took weird directions. They were okay games, but not as good and consistent as Ratchet.

Deadlocked would have been literally the perfect game for a crossover with Jak and Sly. Jak X would also would have been acceptable.
