How come this has only ever happened twice?
How hard would it be for SF or Tekken or something to pull off?

Tekken Tag 2 did pull it off, minus Gon who was a guest character
MK:A didn't do that all that well, though, so many of the characters just play the same as a result of having so many characters
Then they didn't. Ultimate and Armageddon have EVERYONE.
Smash has the same problem but nobody wants to admit it.
Capcom All Star Fighters when
except it doesn't and you're wrong to think so
>smashfags don't point out problems with their game
I can only assume you take cursory glances at smash threads from the catalog
i actually loved armageddon
Armageddon also had no fatalities because they were to lazy to copy-paste them from old games.
High IQ are typically ignored by the shitter masses hence why MK and Smash are so popular because there brainlet shit.
This
Boon himself will tell you that Ultimate does the "shitloads of characters" thing better than Armageddon ever did. MK:A came out at a time when Midway was a few years away from dying and the publisher had them rush it because the series was basically the only thing making them any money.
MVC2 actually comes close.
I don't think you realize how bad the problem was in Armageddon user. Near every single character was samey as fuck gameplay wise with barely any real standouts.
Varied roster > big roster. The bigger the roster gets the more homogenized it gets gameplay wise.
Tekken Tag 1 and 2 are literally that
Every character cut in a game is functionally redundant?
That's some arbitrary bullshit, especially since Gon didn't come back because of copyright reasons. Might as well say Armageddon doesn't count because they didn't bring back Khameleon in all versions, or Smash Ultimate doesn't count because they only had Master Hand playable in one mission instead of retaining the playable Master Hand glitch from Melee.
>comes close
Didn't it do it? Unless you want to count secret variations like Red Venom, Spider Armor, and Norimaru
Norimaru is licensed and based on a real person. He have no place in MVC anyway.
So only thing that is truly missing are Onslaught and Apocalypse.
They don't really count, they were never normally playable anyway
That's like saying Smash Ultimate isn't real "Everyone is here" because it doesn't have Master Hand and Tabuu on the roster
Having every character?
Pretty sure kof 98 had all of them. It was also a much better game than 99
Both Vanilla 98 and 02 have missing characters tho.
Tekken tag tournament 2 kinda did it but there's a couple of missing characters
>That's some arbitrary bullshit
How is it arbitrary if that's the point of this thread?
Are you seriously trying to say Armageddon is as deep as any Smash? You best be trolling.
How many Capcom guys total across every Vs. game are there?
Armageddon didn't have any Special Forces character. So they didn't either.
only gon
KoF 98 UM
I loved Konquest, the actual fighting game was shit
MK is wasted as a fighting game. Needs more shaolin monks
>copyright reasons
Sakurai had to go through an ordeal to get every third party character back, you're missing the point of the thread
I want to see this for the Jump series. I just want to beat up Naruto with Bobobo or Momotaro again
