It's fun but it's been months and none of the promised content has appeared. Skins are extremely expensive and with only two epic skins (ignoring the recolors) for most things all the most hardcore players are probably going to have gotten everything they wanted and gotten bored of the game already.

Actual decent battle royale, with absolutely shit methods of generating revenue. Also the shooting mechanics are ass. Bullets travel way too slowly, energy weapons have recoil, and the drop off is way too high.

Skins are just recolours. Say what you will about Fortnite but atleast Epic puts some effort into the Battlepass skins and they always follow a fresh theme. All Apex had were shitty recolours without any context and the rest of the skins were profile icons and backgrounds. They had a potential success and gold mine in Apex and they fucked it up by not releasing any worthwhile content for it.

You just have to position yourself correctly so you aren't getting clapped by targets you can't even see. Yeah he's big and easy to land shots on, but most of the end game fights between the last two squads are going to consist of trading shots between players until one squad runs out of shields and heals. I've won the majority of my games as caustic because people get impatient during the last fight and run up to try to kill my squad only to trip gas traps and end up getting clapped.

Only thing you can really do against a caustic is wait for him to come to you. He's a damn good defensive legend because he acts as a deterrent, and he's also good at offense in the early game because he can throw gas canisters around to dissuade rushes or force targets out of buildings.

I maintained from the start that apex legends was not actually woke.

Proof that the only way to keep games alive now is to work your employees to death. Fuck unions.

The problem with Apex's characters isn't the skin colour, that's just what insecure whites latch on to. The problem is that most of them have similar silhouettes and muddy coloured clothing which makes it hard to identify who's playing what in a fast action game. It's just bad design for a class-based shooter.

Apex needs a slight aesthetic change. Change all the ugly characters default outfits to either fully or slightly cover up their disgusting faces, also they still need to add in some kind of limited wall-running and double jumps and update the map for it.

But in that universe Wall runs and double jumps rely on equipment.

I don't care about the reason, give all or at least half the characters jetpacks and wallrunning boots then. Half the roster could be considered agile and have less HP or lesser other abilities while the other half without the agility perk could have more HP and/or slightly better abilities or alts.

Playing it atm, the core gameplay is very fun but once you hit max level on your account and the BP you basically stop progressing, you get nothing at all, not even crafting materials unless you shell out money for a chance at a shitty roulette system.

That's not even the worst about the game though, the worst is the lack of updates and the fact that every time they updated the game they introduced new bugs. Shame really because this game has a shit ton of potential, literally lightning in a bottle ruined by slow ass devs.
