holy fuck, something is very fucking wrong when a port of a 2005 game is big news. This shouldn't be a discussion point its a fucking remaster port, like Okami or Onimusha or whatever the fuck. Why are people acting like this ought to have been something else than a quick port?

If you want motion controls just buy the Steam version, use a controller, and map gyro to mouse control. EZPZ.
I dont want gimmick controls. My question is why did anyone think this wouldn't be a port of the PC/PS4 version? People are acting like this should have been something more for...?

i think people were expecting capcom to add gyro or at least motion control like it was from the wii
and the reason was because they did it for revelations on the switch
zero and re remaster is of course a whole different thing gameplay wise
Moreso it was because the Wii version had motion controls, which made the game much easier and better to control, since aiming and shooting wasn't as difficult. People expected the Switch version to have motion controls as well, since the Joy-Cons support it even better than the Wiimote does.
IMO the Wii version kind of butchered it. RE4 is a game that requires the clunky controls, otherwise the game is piss easy. Having to manually turn around and aim just right to kill a chainsaw guy right before he kills you is nerve-wracking, but it actually becomes easy and trivial when you can simply aim the Wiimote and press the trigger.

Is there an actual problem or is it just more "reeee why can't I break the game with my cheat controls" from fags that think the Wii version is the definitive version?
It's a combination of a couple things together :
- 30 bucks. i mean maybe you can try to spin this with some justification if it is actually an improved port on cartridge but that lead us to other problem
- digital only, imagine one if not the most hyped re title in the history and you gave it digital only while giving zero a fucking cartridge
- no improvement : the 2 revelation ports actually utilize some of the switch control and add more shit to them, meanwhile this utilize nothing while there was a version of this on a previous console of nintendo with better control
desu people should've seen this coming, capcom is a piece of shit company and has always been for a the last decade or so
I just dont get it. Back a few years ago it got a PS4 port and rightly people were like, "oh cool. Thats nice to have. 1080p 60fps" but it was the same game as ever. PS4 can use PSmove but no one cries about a lack of RE5 gold style motion controls. Not news worthy at all, but suddeny its on swtich and everyones like OH WOW IS THAT ALL??" As for the price, well thats just something switch owners seem to put up with. How the fuck is BOTW still £55 new?
