The economy ingame is fucked. There are like 300-400 active people per server. Low level equip is pretty much worthless and good high level stuff is way too expansive. You also need tokens that are like 10m if you want to make money with the AH. Or you just buy a token each month for like $17.

Last I played I made it to around level 20 or 25, and nothing could hurt me the entire time, all the bosses would drop in just a few hits as well. It was pretty fucking dull.

There are stupid limitations and restrictions forced upon you in the game if you don't have the premium membership. You can only place 1 (ONE) item on the market place daily for instance which means you're pretty much forced to get the premium membership in order to use basic mmorpg functions and be able to enjoy the game. Not to mention that people who use premium membership have additional buffs, like having increased movement speed, being able to trade items between your characters etc.
The premium membership token can be bought from the market place, which means that if you don't want to shell out irl cash each month you have to spend days grinding for money because it costs literally MILLIONS of in-game currency. Wow, sounds like fun wasting hours just to get a privilege to be able to place more than one item on the market place.
I don't know what you get for shilling this shit game here constantly. Is IMC Games paying you to do this?

Nah, I tried it and a main quest is bugged for months or years, so I dropped it again.

I can never play as a tank in MMOs because it requires too much investment. I'm not charismatic or autistic enough to lead parties through dungeons or boss encounters, and I certainly will never collect all the necessary gear to have enough defense. I like the concept of being a tank more than actually playing one. I play a healer because I enjoy keeping others alive, just from the sidelines rather than the front lines.

I did really like having a Guard button in the short time I played ToS, though. I love Guard buttons.
