Agreed.

except for the brutal bull who is just boring and annoying

Not really a boss. Plus he's super easy.

two words
snake eyes

Too bad it only has 7 bosses

>easiest game made from them
>it has no forced artificial difficulty, best bosses ever

Everybody below this post is now enfeebeled. You can now only write one word per post.
This effect will be dissipated by dubs.

Attached: blue-palace-noble.jpg (1875x1050, 226K)

Except Demon of Hatred which throws everything the game taught you away for "Dude just hit it"

lmao Sekiro can barely even pull off 10 posts under a single thread. What a blunder.

shot shilling Sekiro. the game is shit, and you're shit

nigger i can list more bosses than that off the top of my head witohut even looking
gyoubu
headless
shichichichichichichimen warrior
blazing bull
genichiro
sword saint isshin
old man isshin
emma
demon of hatred
divine dragon
lady butterfly
owl
corrupted monk
o'rin of the many gay combos
guardian ape
guardian ape 2: electric boogaloo
lone shadow vilehand and friend

>headless
>shichichichichichichimen warrior
>blazing bull
>o'rin of the many gay combos
>lone shadow vilehand and friend
>bosses

What's the difference between the red and blue ones anyway?

Guardian Ape's first phase wasn't made for this game at all.

i count a boss as something that spawns a fog wall to force you to fight
so fine ill drop schichimen warriors and headless but even so the list is still longer than 7 fag

divine dragon
lady butterfly
owl
corrupted monk
genichiro
sword saint isshin
demon of hatred
guardian ape

Only these are counted. The rest is either minibosses or variations of aforementioned ones. Yeah I was wrong it's actually 8 not 7

you forgot folding screen monkeys

Reminder that less than 20% of players beat Sekiro

Isn't that true for all the other 'Soulsborne' games?
Or for the vast majority of games for that matter?

Can't really call that a "fight"

divine dragon is a gimmick fight yet you include that
hypocrite

I included it for its sheer grandiosity. It's not difficult and is indeed a gimmick fight but it feels like a boss fight at least

Of course when every single action against them is:
L1L1L1L1L1 then R1 then L1L1L1L1 and maybe jump.

That's a lie. Just checked on steam. 30% killed the Sword Saint and 12.6% killed his old version. It's 30-40 if you count overlapping.
Also I myself was so bored at the beginning I almost dropped it but decided to stick around and it turned out to be not that bad

>L1L1L1L1L1
Imagine being so bad at Sekiro that you spam the L1 button like a female streamer.

Might be true for the vast majority of games, but then again publishers look at these records to find problems in their game so they can tune the next game to be more beatable. Why make content the majority of players are not going to experience? That's just a waste of money.

I'd say a good 50/60% of the players that tried it fell asleep before fighting Genichiro

He's a miniboss.

When's the DLC coming out I NEED TO FIGHT TOMOE
I CAN BEAT SSI AT NG+7 WITH MY EYES SHUT PLEASE JUST GIVE ME MORE

Yeah because there is no difficulty to begin with

Attached: lol.webm (666x382, 2.87M)

The game is good but there's very little replayability in it. The only reason I still touch it is because of mods so I can only imagine how boring it must be for the console only crowd.

Attached: SEKIROWAVE.jpg (1920x1080, 605K)

I enjoy watching speedruns of it. There are some streamers going for world record these days.

would be much more entertaining if they didnt just cheese every boss

Only the bulls really feel cheap, I get what they are going for but putting its only real hurtbox (only the head takes full damage) behind a massive, neverending hitbox (its horns) is bad design. Its almost impossible to fight the thing by the intended method without taking damage so everyone just runs in circles and stabs it in the ass, which is deliberately slow and boring. At least the Fountainhead one can be opened with a stealth attack which shortens the fight dramatically but the Burning Bull just sucks.
Guardian Ape pt. 1 is annoying mostly because of his misleading hitboxes on his grabs, and his tendency to refuse to actually engage you and instead just run around. His headless phase is much more fun to fight. Demon of Hatred is an atypical boss design as well but he's not as bad. Its just an overly long fight.

I've seen like ten people complaining about him and he's literally the only mini boss I didn't struggle with. I'm about to fucking give up on Lady Buterfly and her bullshit.

This game is such a joke.

>can list more bosses

The hardest part is remembering anyone's name. It's fine for "headless" but none of these fucking generals with traditional names are ever get remembered by western people.

Why wouldn't they? The goal of a speedrun is to finish the game as fast as possible, even if it involves cheese.

Oh come on user, how could you forget General Tenzen omaiwamu shindeiru desu nissan honda nii-chan

I understand why they do it, but it isn't entertaining to watch someone glitch genichiro into a corner and abuse his AI, or stun lock the false corrupted monk to death.

The only general I remember is General Hadoson Sutanri.

Owl and Isshin variants are the only fun bosses.
The majority feel like skillchecks

It's just as "enjoyable" as watching someone beat Genichiro normally for the 300th time. At that point you just don't care. Geni is also one of the easiest bosses in the game

>if you play enough and git gud then there was no difficulty ever
That guy definitely died multiple times finding a strategy that worked

He is super tedious and when you face him he's likely to one-shot you.

Would be more entertaining if half of the run wasn't
Lol swim through walls skipping huge chunks of the game

I didn't like Headless, their grab bugged out a couple times.

It's a great game, but lacks relatability to the degree other souls games do
The NPC quests are on the weaker side, I never felt as attached to them as I have some of the previous games NPCs

I'm surprised people don't talk more about how nicely the world connects up considering people always praise das1 for it. The aesthetic is really nice, the music is ok but not the best FROM has put out.

The tools all feel pretty interesting and good to use outside of maybe whistle and the fan. I just wish they added more on NG plus than a numbers buff

Did you know you can just hold circle and run towards his asshole at all times and he literally cannot hit you even a little bit?

I spent hours on Lady Butterfly before I realized she was completely optional and absolutely not intended to be the first boss you fight. Didn’t stop me, yet no other boss felt underwhelming as a result of her difficulty. Sekiro #1 Japon

lol folding screen monkey

>I'm surprised people don't talk more about how nicely the world connects up considering people always praise das1 for it.
For me, it was a let-down. It felt more like DS2 in terms of the world layout than DS1, you have a hub from which you go down several paths that mostly lead to dead-ends. And in terms of interconnectedness, what do you really have? A bridge between the Outskirts and the Castle that's gated by story progression? The path from Senpou Temple to Sunken Valley that is only good for one trip? Off the top of my head, the only real example is the path from the serpent shrine in Sunken Valley to Ashina Depths. And no, I don't really count the shinobi shortcuts because they're basically just teleporting (plus at least one is arbitrarily locked by story progression).

And don't forget reusing the same areas not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES.

>artificial difficulty
All difficulty is artificial, it boils down to whether you enjoy that particular style of difficulty that Sekiro has.
I'd say Sekiro's boss lineup is really good but there are some less than stellar ones in there as well if we include minibosses. The ''main'' bosses are really solid though.

Attached: D4sbZnIWkAEuwUs.jpg (637x1200, 97K)

I hated all enemies that used the terror status in some way

i dropped the game in ng+ when i couldnt beat owl at hirata, the only bosses i havent beaten are owl hirata, emma and isshin top of the tower. are those three fights worth starting over for cos the damage dealt by owl at hirata is fucking crazy and the only way i can see myself beating him is if i just start a new save file

Why would starting the game over give you more of an advantage? It's not like you can change your build up

cos he'd deal less damage? i dont use sugars for boss fights usually id rather not have anything in my quick item menu other than heals, im not good enough at parrying so i rely on dodging, i still get hit by owl hirata, i think current strat is fine but i need a bit of breathing room with the damage he deals

Oh i see, you want to start the game over so you're not on NG+

Bosses so good they get reused constantly.

bite

fuck you old man

The Headless are just minibosses, but they're probably my least favorite enemies in any Fromsoft game. Everything about them is tedious as fuck.
>slow field
>really high health and defense, forcing you to use Divine Confetti if you don't want to fight it for several minutes
>dumb grab attack that forces you to spam jump since you're still slowed unless you've already dissipated the slow field
>terror is just annoying
>terror needles that home in on you
It's all so terrible to fight

Attached: Annoyed.jpg (888x610, 245K)

Once again steam doesnt count since half or more of you pc shitters use trainers

Bait.

I can't do it....

Attached: 20190523_102352.jpg (720x404, 149K)

You can cheese them by staying directly behind them but it doesn't make it any less tedious.

>no artificial difficulty
Every enemy in the game switches direction mid swing animation like a fucking homing missile making dodging completely useless.

I just skip fighting them in NG+ now. Takes way too long.

I made the mistake of not beating them all on my first playthrough. They're even worse on NG+.

I know. I actually ran out of Divine Confetti in NG+6 against one

too bad the game is boring after beating it the first time

Folding Screen Monkeys, Demon of Hatread, Headless Ape and Corrupted Monk Illusion are shit. Rest are gr8 though.

I actually liked Demon of Hatred

just run behind him and hit his ass a few times, if you stand there waiting to parry him like a retarded faggot you'll be dead in seconds

I think it's interesting on paper in the sense that it's a divergence from a lot of the other bosses, but Guardian Ape was also a divergence without being tedious.

There is nothing wrong with either ape fight, monk illusion, or demon of hatred. Git fucking good.

Folding Screen Monkeys are shit, that I agree with.

Illusion Monk is there to get you used to her moveset before you fight the actually hard monk at Fountainhead Palace.

Attached: 1557250995527.jpg (1536x2048, 577K)

Headless Ape is shit. It's just Guardian Ape with less health with another Ape that drops down and can be instantly taken out with four or five firecrackers.
Monk Illusion is Corrupted Monk but with less shit going on.
Demon of Hatred is tedious.

Why didn't they do that for every other boss? What seems more likely to me is that a different boss was originally meant to be there, but due to development issues or time constraints they had to scrap it.

Why are people acting as if "Minibosses" aren't effectively bosses? The healthbar, boss name on screen etc. a prayer bead reward?

Sure some of them are very easy or basically one shot for like 2 of them, but the majority of them at least pose some sort of interesting challenge or mechanic that differs from regular guys.

Are we forgetting the prior games?

Covetous Demon
Graverobbers
Witches of Hemwick
Celestial Emissary
Prowling Magus
Pinwheel
Demon Firesage
Ancient Wyvern
Halflight, Spear of the Church
50% of the Chalice Dungeon bosses

And a load more (especially in DS2) count as what I would certainly designate as "Mini" were they structured throughout the game like Sekiro.

Is it for the sole fact that they're repeated throughout the game?

Let me destroy this boss for you
Never stop attacking her
Seriously
Never
The moment she parries, she'll go for a shitty sidekick that you can perfect parry after half à second or she'll jump over you and you can avoid both follow up of the jump by walking away

She's boring as shit once you understand how limited she is while you pressure her ancient ass
You can bully her for ages

The headless aren't even terrible because of that, the'ré terrible because it's litterally all about mashing R1 as hard as you can and sometime stop to block like once or twice personnes lifebar

It could be a boss reshuffle, wouldn't surprise me. After all the centipede demon was supposed to have been in the Undead Parish in Dark Souls. But the Fountainhead Palace monk is a pretty tough fight with the 3 hp bars so maybe they wanted to give you practice just before it? Also Corrupted Monk ghost essentially guards the path to the real one.

Hating Folding Monkeys is a brainlet opinion. Not every fight has to be a hard test of skill, monky puzzle was unique, fun and refreshing and probably one of the best Soulsbornekiro gimmick bosses.

Attached: D5bSfgSXoAIYKxd.jpg (524x900, 87K)

The problem of the monkey fight is on replay
Now I just dash after them till they stop ,completely ignoring the gimmick but providing some dull ass fight

Every day I pray for a Boss Rush mode to be either free DLC or modded in.

Owl 2 is a fucking nightmare in NG+. Just watch a couple of videos and keep at it, you'll get him eventually.

Seething fags, bloodborne is better

I just got him to his second phase this morning. Do I have to worry about his Owl friend or is that just to distract me?

Second phase is easier, honestly

Owl is mostly to distract you, you only have to pay attention when it lands near him because he'll use it to do attacks. When it's just flying around don't worry about it.

It doesn't help that the game itself makes the distinction. Only "real" bosses give you memories and trophies, while the minis give you beads or special items.
I think From just wanted to avoid the DS2 situation where every area had a "boss fight" even if most of them were just normal enemies, which led to people criticizing the game for having boring boss design. So Sekiro instead opts for "There are only a few real bosses, and a bunch of optional boss-like encounters". Plus it saves them the trouble of having to come up with context and an arena for every single one and let's them intersperse them more throughout the world in a more natural and organic manner, even hiding some of them to surprise people who want to explore (like the underwater Headless).

The only good bosses that required more than just mashing L1 to defeat were Isshin, both Owls, and Rape Ape. The rest were easy mode.

the first 2/3 of this game was piss easy, but after the great shinobi owl, the game becomes insanely difficult especially with the bosses and even normal interior ministry thugs are harder than early bosses

I hate those god damned ministry thugs

rape ape is probably the easiest boss though.

Believe the reds up just want to stab you and blue ones want to give you the succ before they stab you.

headless is just garbage design. I have not killed a single one since they dont even drop beads and the fight itself is just not fun.

the monkeys were great although on subsequent playthroughs i can imagine they are just a chore since you already know the gimmick

DoH is the only one thats bullshit

The only attack that really pisses me off is his running jumping grab. I swear to god unless I'm on the other side of the arena he always manages to grab me.

No. Well I don't like Sekiro much at all and its not artificially difficult since the only AD designs are pure luck/factors the player cannot fully learn to control. There are some flat out garbage bosses or mediocre ones. Hell Old man Isshin/Owl fights/Isshin final are pretty much the only notable ones. The rest are either awful or bland as fuck. Butterfly was meme'd to hell and just a block/parry tutorial. The clone of the Monk you just need to slap a buff on and then goes down to stun locks and otherwise still easily is awful.

Nu-Yea Forums will actually disagree with this

oh yea that attacks annoying, but running into him and jumping to the left as he jumps lets you to evade it and lets you get in 2-3 clean hits
genichiro was a good boss

is the button input in this game fucked or my controller? many times, ill have to press start or the crouch button 4-5 times before it will work.

Sounds like a fucked controller, bud
