I almost made some while playing Maplestory 2. I just hung around by the concert hall playing and listening to music, since you can play midi files on instruments in that game. Was a good ice breaker whenever you or someone else recognized a song, or you helped someone set up the midi to play.
Once that happens you have to actually talk to them afterwards and not be too awkward about it. That is the step I don't know how to do yet. I will one day.
