Is this a good game? I'm trying to play Bioshock again but it's really repetitive, and heard this is good.

overrated boomer shit
5/10 at best
It's one of the best games I've ever played. Blows bioshock and deus ex out of the fucking water
>western shit
nope
Early to mid its good but then it starts to drag
It's a fantastic game.
2 is mediocre, 1 is based
Make sure to install a no-enemy-respawn and no weapon degradation mod and it's playable.
Deus Ex is really fucking good
I don't play western kids toy so I don't care
yep a redditor has been spotted
You can get it for less than a dollar, go figure out if it's good by yourself.
>modding out difficulty
How often do enemies respawn
>not modding shit mechanics away
>weapon degradation is difficulty
Is Infinite mod good?
Stop posting on here and just play the game and find out for yourself.
fucking baby ass casuals get the fuck out
all the time, it makes the game scary and if you mod enemy respawn out you are a fucking pussy
>it makes the game scary
lol? it adds minor inconvenience most of the time
Make sure you join the Marines. Psifags are the most pathetic failures in the armed forces.
> game about hacking
> durrrr me wanna run and gun!
Play System Shock 1 instead.
Have fun farting your weak magic shit at enemies while I'm absolutely dominating with a machine gun.
>system shock 2 is about hacking
>game about hacking
If you're a zoomer you will find this game almost impenetrably clunky but I'd say give it a try because it actually is a very good game.
This game is definitely better though.
Bwahaha
Try Bioshock Infinite
Played this for the first time ever last year. Definitely a fucking blast, and even as someone who doesn't do well with horror, I had a good time. Of course, I've never played Bioshock so I don't know how they compare.
>Bioshock is really repetitive
Understatement, yeah SS2 is good, but you need to configure your input commands.
It's resource management, which is part of the challenge
if you play it youll notice glaring copy-pasted world design
otherwise id say it's worth at least one play through
>resource management
by the time you get to deck 3 you become an unstoppable god who mows through everything without having to give a single shit and until then it's just tedious, it is an absolutely worthless mechanic just like every implementation of weapon degradation
"If you don't like the shitty game that I like you should play another shitty game"
i'd rather play an actually good game that doesn't have shitty degradation mechanics
yes that's what he said
being able to reiterate key ideas is a good sign of positive progress
Dregradation is fine, problem is lack of alternative options.
Most people will just boost Strength and rely on wrench until they have decent supply of ammo.
degradation is easily managed if you keep multiple pistols in the beginning, and you get more than enough xp points/maintenance tools to deal with it shortly after. it's still an odd design decision and probably doesn't add anything to the experience, but it's not that big of a deal either.
>Elitist weeb faggots:The thread
solid 9/10
make sure to not listen to any of the tips in the thread
One of my most fun playthroughs was just as a melee/psi character. In the end you just one shot everything and go invisible all the time. Big plus is you just ignore weapon degradation altogether.
But also as a gunner/hacker I didn't really had an issue with breaking weapons, I think I put some points in mainentance. Still slightly annoying though.
Respawn and degradation are probably more of a problem if you play for the first time and you run around forever, and don't know where to put your points in.
plus I think if you think about System Shock 2 as an attrition based survival horror, where you are slowly depleted of your resources and you have to keep moving, those mechanics make more sense.
It's not as good as Yea Forums makes it out to be.
That's dumb. Degradation isn't that bad if you manage it and respawns are there to stop levels becoming safe zones (which doesn't make sense in the scenario) and to provide resources through loot.
