Capcom's idea of difficulty is "slap controller out of player's hand"

Seriously, the amount of things in MH as a series that simply amount to "put the controller down" is ridiculous.

Monster roars? put the controller down, unless you have earplugs or the evasion and timing to dodge it, as if the simple act of just yelling is somehow an attack(it will even knock you out of the air)

Monster stomps near you? prepare to stumble around like an idiot for like a full 5+ seconds, as your character acts as if the entire planet is shaking as if the monster is the size of a skyscraper(I don't care how fat Jho is, he's not that heavy)

Monster move too quickly past you? get knocked down.

Monster flap wings too close to you? get bowled over

Monster's attack get to close to you? stumble

The sheer amount of shit in the game that just amounts to "you are not allowed to press buttons" is ridiculous. It just comes off as really cheap and frustrating, especially when it's entirely silly for your character to act that way despite being a superhuman killing machine.

Nobody likes it when their character in a game does things they didn't tell them to do(exagerated stumbling motions of an idiot, etc). it adds frustration and annoyance rather than actual difficulty.

Its almost as if playing the game gives you ways to mitigate or deal with every single issue.
Obvious bait is obvious..

Khezu better be in Iceborne tho.

Yeah, it's not like they raise their head and move back before roaring or anything as a cue. Only Khezu is the one that can roar fast enough to catch you by surprise.

Why don't you just use the skills the game give you to counter it? Like earplug or tremor res

Stop being a faggot and main hunting horn and you can mitigate nearly all of these at once.

consider what it's like to make the same fucking tired argument that's been around since the PS2 era
strangely people have been able to do it since then. odd huh?

>I'm a fucking retard who can't read animations or predict enrage timers
ok

You can't main hunting horn without being a faggot tho

Fuck you, Jho, fuck you!

Attached: anon gets tric...jpg (467x3587, 249K)

We know YOU can't, but that's unrelated to the weapon.

Capcom has no idea of difficutly anymore. That's why World exists.

where's the mustache?

Been a while since someone posted this one.

It was a lot less obnoxious in previous games. They REALLY upped the stun effects in world.

>what they were thinking!

You can block roars.

youtube.com/watch?v=vT6GKEqsfNo
Eat shit OP.

Attached: file.png (644x126, 17K)

>you have to block a monster yelling at you

LITERALLY WHY. Do all monsters juts have some sort of hypersonic shriek?

I understand Tigrex's gimick is that his roar is literally an attack, and thats fine, but EVERY large monster somehow has this incredible ear-shattering shriek that FORCES you to cower in place or can literally knock you out of the air.

it's a stupid mechanic.

>Monster roars? put the controller down, unless you have earplugs or the evasion and timing to dodge it

You sure did name a lot of things you could do to avoid it. Forgot block though.

if you're this bad just run earplugs and stop whining

Just roll the roars.
We were all bad at some point. The question is, are you willing to git gud?

Why do you have to block or avoid A SCREAM?

if a certain monster's gimick is that it's voice is a weapon or something, sure, fine. but it's universal, and that's retarded.

>that first time successfully rolling a Diablos roar

Attached: spurt.jpg (633x830, 37K)

do you have some sort of fucking sound autism or something? why are you so obsessed over the fact monsters can yell? bizarre.

Again completely missing the point. the point isn't "oh man roars are just so difficult how do I deal with them". the point is "This is a stupid mechanic that doesn't make any sense"

You know I think the monster AI uses roars like an attack to interrupt charging attacks and potion drinking. There are times when its definitely because yhe player is doing something instead of just marking what phase the monster is in.

Since this is MH I imagine there have been thousands of hours of research into it and someone will call me a retard noob for bringing it up.

deranged

Yes, larnixes the size of a grown baby!

Roars also allow them to go into rage mode while preventing you from downing them.

It feels weird to me to bitch about roars when the time it takes to recover from a roar is usually about the time it takes for a monster to finish their roar animation. The punishment for not blocking/dodging/speccing against a roar is usually just resetting the fight back to "neutral": The monster is facing you and you're standing there.

Roars only really happen because they're supposed to be setting it to neutral.
>When the monster spots you
>When the monster enrages
>When the monster chooses to flee

Why do people complain about this?

I'm obsessed over the fact that somehow, ALL decently sized monsters can yell so INCREDIBLY HYPERSONICALLY LOUD that your superhuman warrior literally has no choice but to cover his ears and cower in place against his own will.

It's so powerful it will physically knock you out of the air if you're jumping at them as they do it.

So either every single decent sized monster has some sort of magical super vocal cords, or it's just a dumb mechanic that makes no logical sense.

roars don't prevent knockdown I'm pretty sure, it's just that the threshold shoots up when they enrage.

Glad someone else agrees with me.

>I'm obsessed over the fact that somehow, ALL decently sized monsters can yell so INCREDIBLY HYPERSONICALLY LOUD that your superhuman warrior literally has no choice but to cover his ears and cower in place against his own will.
this dude literally has some sort of sound autism, this isn't even a thread about a game he's just going schizo over fucking monsters yelling at him lmao. no clue what's going on in your head man

>shitposting has turned into THESE GAME MECHANICS AREN'T REALISTIC!

Attached: 1558429935441.gif (250x277, 1.88M)

I don't think roars use stamina. Although i have seen monsters roar when they are exhausted.

You forgot about monster hunter thread

>I don't think roars use stamina.
I mean the knockdown threshold, nothing to do with exhaustion. It's harder in general to stagger/knockdown an enraged monster.

Attached: blu food.gif (450x253, 1.42M)

Which is funny, because "MUH REALISM" has been a favored defense of huntards for years to explain away all the annoying, frustrating shit Capcom puts in the game to slow it down.

Recovery is actually a half second slower. So its enough that in close range you are going to have to react to an attack when you get out than start full neutral.

>can't defend his shit game
>g-g-git gud!!!
You do realize this is exactly why soulsfags were considered the worst fanbase on Yea Forums for a time right? Saying git gud is not an argument, and is almost exclusively used by retards like you to defend badly made games. It absolute cancer.

MHW is my first MH game and some random told me during a quest that I should only use one combo (I was using a hammer) because it was the "highest dps".
Is this true?
Should I stop bothering switching attacks and just focus on smashing one button?

I know, I just wanted to add that.

Attached: giphy (2).gif (288x294, 882K)

If you want to complain about something complain about the lack of an afro in mhw. Seriously what the fuck capcom.

You forgot "Superman dive? Go make a sandwich while I wait for him to get back up."

The game isn't good. People just like to pretend they're hardcore for playing a Japanese grinding game.

DPSfags are cancer, damage numbers were a fucking mistake

>wtf why can't I play as the juggernaut

I dunno user, would you have more fun just spamming one combo? Honestly tho you should just use your best judgement. If you know all your moves you can't go wrong.

Learn the monster
Get better gear
Take gear to counter monster abilities
Roars? Wind? Quakes?
All of these have skills that negate the effect
>Monster move too quickly past you
Protip: Don't get hit

tl;dr OP is a Dual Blade shitter

Why would you want to do less damage?

>roars can be guarded and even countered by half the weapons, it has always been a way to indicate the monster's phase
>tremor res, guard, even when stumbling twist the analog for like 1-2 sec to break free
>felyne feet for chip damage
>monster flies over? perfect time to charge my heavy attacks where it's going to land, you can still guard/counter/windres
>once again felyne feet

Also
>allow yourself to get hit
>complain that you get hit

Imo you get way too much tools and options to finish the fight.
Monster hunter threads were still assholes, but these people knew how to play.

Attached: VnGwjAG.jpg (604x604, 52K)

Learn 2 play

What combo, the big bang combo? O O O O O

did you know sound is a physical phenomenon ? did you know a larger organ means more powerful sound waves? did you know that a tiny fucking human can scream as loud as a fucking rocket engine in terms of decibel ?
and also that a loud enough sound could literally kill you on the spot?

you add all of that together and yeah, a giant fucking monster yelling right next to you can definitely fucking believe you're gonna feel it

>HH has Earplugs (L)
>Tfw whole party gets the opportunity to nuke Monster at Roar
Feels good toot toot.

In all honesty, I find it hard to imagine using weapons aside from Greatsword because it freed me from wind gusts and small hits all the way back on the PS2. Now, I get to just Tackle through everything else that would be annoying, which moves me closer to my big dick DPS move.

I cannot fathom playing lesser weapons.

Attached: 1555726092227.png (371x353, 148K)

This, people tend to gear to see those numbers or lack there of get higher but counter play makes some monsters cake. Plus you can't dps if you are dead

>he doesn't take the effort to actually learn the game
>w-why is this game so HARD!!
>REEEEE THIS GAME IS BAD
Are you by any chance works for IGN’s journalism department, user?

I thought all Monster Hunter threads ironically started with OP complaining about something and the thread simply going into discussion from there?

when someone thinks a game is bad because they dont know how to play it, what else is there to tell them?

Its a mechanic that has been in the series since the beginning. Its something everyone has found multiple ways to avoid through both technique and preparation.

If you think that is BS wait until get hipped checked into a stun and the monster uses its biggest, slowest attack to cart you and all you get to do is watch.

Ironic since demon mode also ignores roars.

>play lance
>everything in op is just another chance to counter
>maybe do a guarding dodge so I move with the monster if its charging
I get absolutely fucked playing anything without a shield though. No fucking clue how you dodge half this shit normally. Think I need to swear off shields for iceland, at least until I hit endgame.

It is not somehow noble to eat shit just because that is what your ancestors did, not knowing better

I fucking despise these people, one of my friends brought in a new guy and he told me to stop doing the single charge dash-in, the triple swing, the ground pound, even when I go out of my way to never hit anybody. God I wish I could tell him to kill himself

Wow its been a hot minute since I've been insulted by a Portugean

No, it doesn't.

t. guy who has been playing dual blades all day and is constantly annoyed if I don't roll/dash a roll and my stamina meter is wasted by being in demon mode but I can't do anything

>Portugean
Its portugese.

I don't see how anyone plays GS. Just so slow

Yep
Played Lance too much and I'm simply not used to being mortal anymore

Because landing a hit and getting a 4 digit number makes me hard.

Conditons, elements, and different damage types can have different effects that have benefits besides straight damage.

Rsthian for example is a lot easier when you can cut the tail or reach it in the air.

>getting a 4 digit number
Oh, so you were talking about World...

Can Lance counter block unblockables?

к

Attached: 1532916685836.jpg (1023x682, 139K)

My mistake.

You have to be literally fucking insane to enjoy playing Gun Lance

roaring.earth/sperm-whales-can-vibrate-humans-to-death/
>These clicks are so powerful in the water that they can blow out your eardrums easily, and they can actually vibrate a human body to death

Neither counter nor powergaurd give you natural guard-up, you need the skill for that.

>Because getting the high slash damage hit graphic for what I assume is a lot of damage gets me hard.

Well then fuck everything. I ain't playing Lance ever.

t. CB main without a fucking guard up jewel

Attached: immunitydog.jpg (500x860, 188K)

The only other ones I really played were MH1 and MHF2. I liked using GS, but in MH1 endgame was nothing but LnS headlock plate runs with BDS or killing Fatalis with cluster shot 2. Lance in general felt better because hitboxes were wonky and you spent a lot of time glued to something's dick blocking and stabbing their taint. MHF2 only really added draw charges, so I played a lot of GL and LS because shiny and new.

MHW having tackle for GS changes everything though (don't know if it was introduced in a different game). There's that same feeling of heft and deliberation on every swing, but now you don't have to sheathe every two seconds and you're tangibly rewarded for precise attacking rhythms and monster pattern recognition in a way you weren't previously.

Plus, yes, the giant damage numbers on True Charge Swing feels good.

The way to get the 4 digit hits in world takes you much longer to get to than a standard draw attack though so if your problem is that the weapon is too slow that sure as hell doesn't change anything.

It's normal moveset even without the shelling is already more diverse and fun than lance, mixing shelling in makes it more enjoyable. The new stake attack is a great addition as well. It's just too bad the way everyone including the devs agree to be the "right" way of playing the weapon, ie. using a combination of all it's stabs, slashes and shelling isn't optimal at all since you have to half ass damage skills for both physical attacks and shelling.

>I want my hunter to be an invincible Superman waahh
Git
Gud

To be honest you don't need guard up for like 95% of situations.

>Monster roars?
You can block it.
>Monster stomps near you?
You can block it.
>Monster move too quickly past you?
You can also block it.

Everything in the game you can block.

Its my first MH and i stopped playing a long time ago. My problem with it is that it's too repetitive. You do the same attack 1,000 times for every type of monster. Switch weapons? A new attack but you end up doing that 1,000 times. I watched some "pro" videos on youtube for a guide, maybe I was missing something. But it's just the same attacks 1000s of times.

Most the unblockable attacks are big dick moves that give you time to dodge properly anyway, even if that dodge has to be sheath to superman dive.

but world is a snoozefest

Hello new reddit friend

Jho is a good boi don't be mean

Why the fuck would it need to be like that? Just because this place is a dumb doesn't mean you need to keep piling on more turds.

Except half ATs and Behe which is literally half the endgame.

Behe belly stomp.
Xeno "haha which way for superman dive bro" 180° laser.
AT Luna nova.
>haha just sheath and superman bro
have you seen CB's sheathing?

Goddamn there's three MH threads on the catalog now

>Except half ATs and Behe which is literally half the endgame.
There is literally now reason to ever fight those monsters after you get their armor sets
The real end game is deco farming and tempered elders have better rates than AT elders for less work

>just use several armor skills to mitigate unfun that bullshit that shouldn't exist in the first place!
MH community is a fucking joke and overly attached to bad design.
I've played every MH game since FU and i'd still side with OP, less pointless downtime would vastly improve the games. To not allow difficulty to fall through the floor because of that, they should just put some effort into making the AI more aggressive and generally threatening, it's a joke how stupid the monsters still are after so many games.

its wonderful

>Half ATs
The only ATs where Guard Up isn't a cruntch on big shields are Lunastra and Kulve Tarroth in stage 4
And Behemoth "tank" but technically thats not an AT

If you want to have weightless fights and playing as Superman Dauntless is more of your tastes probably

There's reason enough for me since I've only finished Behe once with randos who actually stopped dying for once. Haven't solo'd it yet.

>tempered elders have better rates than AT elders
Yeah, all those Hero streamstones I still can't get, amazing rates right there.

Fuck you Peco this is why you don't get to be in games anymore.

Don't worry, they made World just for shit players like you. Go plya that and you will feel like Superman since you practically can't lose outside Behemoth, Luna, and AT Jho.

Can't wait for OP to try AT Niggergante

Dark Soul is different though

In Monster Hunter you have to learn how to use the tools, your weapon moves and the counters for each big monsters...basically git gud

Sometimes I think I'm bad at videogames, but then I see people like op and cheer up.

Thought this was a good place as any to ask.
Just got into MHW and I haven’t played since Kulve Taroth was added. What’s a good way to catch up? Is there any specific monsters I should be hunting or builds I should have so I don’t get my shit kicked in when Iceborne comes out? Are arch-tempered monsters just damage sponges with more loot like the normal version or do they give something special? I really don’t want to hunt the behemoth since that hunt is hard as balls, but I’ll do it if it’s really essential I use Charge Blades, if that helps.

4U, 3U and portable 3rd are piss easy too.
The only reason people find FU hard is because of how jank it is.

I thought I would love MHW, but the introduction just killed it for me. Really over the top with being japanese idea of characters. It was mild nuisance but the game itself just felt detached, like it should be an mmo or something you oy play with friends. The characters all feel like some clunky mechs you try to control on top of it.

Soemtimes the game just isn't for you I suppose.

if you have several weapons made to top tier and at least 1 set of Elder Dragon armour with its defence unlocked and maxed out you're caught up

okay

If you say so.

That guy can eat a dick.
You have a moveset for a reason. Some moves are going to be more useful than others.

IMPROVISE.
ADAPT.
OVERCOME.

That is why on every hunt I use that uron poncho thing that makes you immune to such annoying stumble mechanics. Literally best unlock in the game
>hunt takes 15+ minutes because of shitty cc mechanics
>get steel poncho
>can now actually play the game
>hunts take maybe 5 minutes on average
It feels real good knowing what you unlock actually matters but still it kinda throws into perspective how dogshit early game hunting was

Use your entire moveset user, they all have a use.

The single worst thing MHW added was unskippable cutscenes forcing you to pay attention to the story that nobody cares about change my mind.

Is MHW a good entry to learn this series? I'm watching some footage but I feel like it's so overwhelmingly complex. So many items, loots, stuff to know, attacks, monsters...

>started with world
>went back to the older games and have a much harder time with them
>2 seconds of healing in the previous games can kill you if you don't time it right
>10 years of healing in world can't because it literally doesn't matter that it takes longer since if you move perpendicularly to a monster there is almost no way you can get hit by them
Why the fuck are you lying user, no one is paying you to defend how much easier world is. Hell being easier doesn't even make it a bad game inherently so what are you doing it for, to feel like more of a badass? You came here from dark souls or something?

yes it's great, minor problems and streamlining aside.
it introduced great quality of life shit, and basically trimmed the fat when it comes to quests.
you'd have to pick 5 mushrooms and do other shit just to fight an actual monster, but World just throws you in the whole game, and honestly no handholding aside from basic shit.

the items and crafting pre-date most modern survival crafting games
it's actually very easy and you really just read the decription to know what they do
however crafting is essential to getting the best consumable items, you can't get them any other way, so just always pick up herbs and mushrooms every quest, hoard everything

Yes it's a good entry. Just harvest everything as you start out. Grab all the herbs/bugs/mushrooms/monster carvings etc.

That's the main fun of the game. Start off by cycling through a few weapons to figure out what you want to fully learn and just focus on gearing up for the next thing you are going to fight if stuff gets overwhelming. The early game is tough if you are a complete beginner to the series, but forgiving enough that you can play extremely inefficiently and still make it through just fine. Grab whatever armor gives skills that sound good to you, grab a weapon with an element the monster you are fighting is weak to, and have a stack of 10 of both normal and mega potions and you will be fine for the first 40-ish hours of play. MHW is the best entry to the series, it was pretty much made with the intent of getting new players into the series and it succeeded at that.

OP is completely right.
The amount and the duration of said effects is too long, especially in world.
Stuff like anti ko jewels dont even help that much unless you go for full immunity as it still takes too fkn long, and pressing buttons to remove ko doesnt do much either.

3U and 4U were way better in that regard

>"master" race

>pressing buttons to remove ko doesnt do much either.
Wiggle left and right.

>see Plesioth
>"okay that's fair, that hip check hitbox was bullshit"
>it's just waiting for him to run into a shock trap
Most of the video was just the guy being a shitter, Big Boss Crab and Lao Shen sitting outside the map were valid complaints though

It's really not that complicated, plus there's no RPG stat investment shit, everything is tied to your gear and there are no restrictions on what you can equip so you can hop between different weapons whenever you feel like it.

It's very forgiving, especially early on. Most of the complexity doesn't even matter, all you need to know is how to get potions (just fucking buy them) honey to make big potions (there's a "farm" mechanic tied to a tree that you get later on, game explicitly tells you how to use it when you get there) and how to use just one weapon, literally any one. (you can switch later on if you're feeling bored or having difficulty, although most of the time you're probably too busy learning the monsters' moves themselves to get bored and there really isn't any monster in the game that you can't kill in WELL UNDER the time limit alone with any weapon if you know them well enough barring dumb post-post game shit like kulve and extreme behemoth).

Other items can be useful in certain situations but not necessary at all, "loot" is only needed to craft better gear and you're told what you need at the armory anyway (specific "best" options for each individual weapon may very but for clearing the game you usually can't go wrong with the one with the highest damage for your weapon category), attacks can be learned as you play the game and experiment with your weapon of choice (which is why it's better to stick to one type when starting out) and monsters can be learned by fighting them. For the purposes of learning how to play the game there isn't really anything to know that they don't walk you through in the game anyway, so if you're really worried of not knowing something just don't skip through any dialogue. Tutorial wise it's the best entry in the series because they actually bothered with one this time, although predictably for people who have played the games before it was kind of a chore.

This game is probably as simple to get into as Monster Hunter games get, and if fucking nu-game journalists can play them there really isn't any reason why an average person needs to be scared of complexity.

Monsters do that in EVERY Monster Hunter for the longest time. In Freedom Unite while you're recovering from Khezu's roar it's already started an attack animation, even during Low Rank. Either put some distance between you and the monster if you notice it gearing up for a roar, shield it, or wear earplugs. Hell if you use Charge Blade you can guard point the roar to reduce knock back and if you're right next to the monster cause it to flinch from the counter which negates the roar entirely.

>STILL complaining about animation locks even after they removed the iconic heal flexing

Never bow to casuals. You give them an inch, they take a mile.

>world
>difficulty
something doesn't compute here. are zoomers really shit enough at video games that they manage to die in world? because that never happened to me once in my 80 hours of playtime.

He's not talking about the pvp precisely
And Monster Hunter has it's fair share of cancer, one of the newest examples that come to my mind is the mhw lunastra nova

>put some distance between you and the monster
>he says while mentioning and posting an image of a khezu
Thanks but I'd rather get tail swiped by him than electric balled then pounced on and raped.

12 million sold
This is OUR franchise now niggers

>monster hunter games always get tragically low scores from retarded journos
>every game is amazing
>suddenly everything after tri gets great ratings
>the games starting with, and everything after tri are piss easy, and the worst iterations besides 4 ultimate

That's the real tragedy.

heck you Jho

>getting caught by the electro balls at all
That's nobodies fault but your own.

I don't get why the mh community is so fucking elitist, if you want to play something hard you have 200 better options even in capcom's ip, not this series, yet they think they're some sort of special group with right to look down people like the op
Best thing about it is when they do not know what to answer and just say generic responsed instead
Thanks for proving my point shitter

Is this what PTSD feels like?

I always panic when he drops them so I run too far to one side and get hit by the balls he throws diagonally. I can't stop myself from doing that no matter what so I just hug his ass and that works out the majority of the time.

Attached: 1529304875794.png (440x440, 198K)

This monster only kills because it's so fucking boring that most people want to rush him and then they get caught

Reminder that huntresses belong to bull monsters

fug u

Monsters belong to my DICK.

thats probably illegal

sounds like you need to pick up a bow

picking up any ranged weapon makes your dick fall off, don't do it

As did at first, ironically Khezu made me understand one of the player's best tools in any Monster Hunter. Roll dodging while sheathed. I'm being serious too. See the balls? Just roll to the side or perpendicular to their direction and the crisis is gone. Rolling out of attacks while sheathed instead of super man diving allows you to recover a lot faster so you can close gaps quicker and you're not sitting there watching the monster charge at you again as you get up.

Attached: 1299849268677.png (286x429, 78K)

Smaller monsters with weaker roars dont do jack shit to you
Like other anons said its only the big ones that can scream loud enough to hurt hunters

do it, become a cute anime girl

Reminder that narga, kirin and zinogre huntresses are for lesbian porn

Nothing to do with PC, pleb. In-game mechanic. Gems. Play and fucking learn.

I had no problem with roars and stomps but these days after being in endgame for so long, I find myself getting mildly annoyed.

Yes and no? Some monsters just have harmful roars regardless of size. Look at Tigrex. If you stand right next to it you're getting blasted. Hell do any base monsters in World have the same effect outside of ATs?

Attached: 64634634.png (1416x1000, 1M)

>Monster roars? put the controller down, unless you have earplugs or the evasion and timing to dodge it, as if the simple act of just yelling is somehow an attack(it will even knock you out of the air)
just counterlance, bro
>Monster stomps near you? prepare to stumble around like an idiot for like a full 5+ seconds, as your character acts as if the entire planet is shaking as if the monster is the size of a skyscraper(I don't care how fat Jho is, he's not that heavy)
just counterlance bro
>Monster move too quickly past you? get knocked down.
just you get the point
>Monster flap wings too close to you? get bowled over
>
>Monster's attack get to close to you? stumble

Roar stun and ground tremors are a shit mechanic. Sure you can counter them with gems but you only have so many gem slots, and using those to counter the anti-fun mechanics means you can't use them to enhance the fun mechanics.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

OP should indeed git gud but I hate this image.

ESL spic version of AVGN?

Based and counterlancepilled.

Attached: burgersofmiller.gif (678x422, 55K)

Oh no, it's almost as if you're expected to learn patterns and commit fully to each action you take. MH is clearly a terrible game!

hunting horn is the most alpha weapon though, only real chads can fuck monsters up so effortlessly that they have time to play some music in the middle of a battle

>not peck

if you say so

Yeah, let's just remove all monster defenses

So that you can

Type like
this

It has always been that if you are in front of the monster when it roars, it will have an opportunity to do something at you. The most famous one is Rathalos roar > forward fireball.

Stop playing world play a better game in the series

*PUTS ON GRUG STEADY* DA WHOLE GAME SHOULD BE LIKE ITS ON FOREVER!

>showing bad graphics and jank mechanics for elitism

>hammer
>combo
he was a scrub
you do aerial attacks with hammer, look it up
find a ledge, infinite aerial attacks

The only fights you absolutely need Guard Up for are Xeno'jiva, Lunastra, and monsters that spam grabs.
It's literally just a lv2 gem so just drop a level if crit boost or whatever.

None of those things are really a problem in of themselves. The issue is the frequency of some of the things. The AI is fucking garbage so you end up with 1 monster roaring multiple times in a row with some prone to doing it even more often. It just takes 1 of them catching you off-guard and you're just stunlocked. Earplugs was always a crutch in previous games but now it's a legitimate skill because you have the bullshit that are almost always having to deal with 2-3 monsters that aren't your target and you end up with 2-3 monsters roaring like fucking assholes.

I'm fucking tired of fighting 1 monsters and having 1-2 other assholes come in and interrupt the fight. It happens every single fucking time and sometime it's not even possible to react before you have another monster shoving its dick up your ass.

Also fix the fucking AI you shits - it's fucking horrible.

>Khezu better be in Iceborne tho.
Only if he gets more moves than his jump, ceiling grab, run and slam

Don't forget generic tail whip and the "how the fuck does anyone get hit by this?" stretchy neck

struck a nerve, huh?

It's actually portuguese. Good job being equally retarded.

I've always thought stun was the one mechanic that was actually cancer and when I get World for PC, once Iceborne comes out, I'm hoping to mod it out.

Khezu was my jam in FU
I miss the Khezu hammer, I love the way it screams when you swing it

you're honestly having trouble with mhw? seriously, nigger?
you couldn't be more casual scum even if you were playing bubble pop, fag

>It's literally just a lv2 gem
which I still haven't gotten after spending 90% of the spring event farming lavasioth and jagras

Attached: 1469376562917.gif (260x221, 773K)

Aw. Anyone wana change this kids diaper?

>monsters are supposed to be intimidating beasts that can push you away easily
>OP can't find the way out and simply wants to button spam them
Maybe it's not your kind of game?

wow, get good you scrub MHW is literally the easiest in the series.

I have hundreds of hours and have never experienced an attack from a roar that can't be dodged.

seething brainlet

WHY THE FUCK HAVENT THEY ANNOUNCED ZINOGRE?
MY NIGGER NEEDS TO BE IN THE GAME

At least give me gore/shiggy or something more fun to fight than this shit they keep giving us.

Well done, user. That said, I feel like Rathian is the easiest monster to roll the roar, I don't know exactly why, but it's the monster that I can roll the roar more consistently out of all the other monsters

That being said, I don't think rolling roars is "so fucking easy". It's a good point, unless you are a literal machine or the top 0.1% of the players that can roll the roars of all monsters consistently

It doesn't make any sense fundamentally. Combined with the fact that pic related never said that. Pretty sure another figure was used too, with the same quote. This image only applies to people with severe autism.

man

>Combined with the fact that pic related never said that.
You can't prove that.

Give me peco horn

Only monster I ever hated, and it's just because of his annoying rage movement speed.

I want Crabs and Steve
Crabs mostly because I want to see the backlash from the armour sets, and Steve because Steve

Attached: 1546767030980.jpg (428x424, 16K)

I want Zamtrios but the new Iceborne area seems too far inland for that
Hoping we get a 2nd map along the lines of Frozen Seaway or those islands on the west side of the in game map for more variety

Tropical Islands = Congalala, Plesioth, Crabs

>all my friends play it on ps4 and not on pc because pc gets content late

i fucking hate capcom for being such unreliable chink devs. a developer that can't develop for pc, what fucking hack are you? hate. hate. stupid goddamn weebcunts

Attached: 1558257284405.png (680x708, 387K)

This is why dauntless is honestly a fun alternative. I don’t care if it’s casual. It also has less clutter on the screen.

The hud in monhun is sensory overload for me.

Attached: E0919405-E1C3-4F49-9C4A-8E4C31AA5494.jpg (887x960, 57K)

>sensory overload

Was MHW the only MH you actually played?

>No fucking clue how you dodge half this shit normally

>IG: is it fairly stupid and unfair? Roll dodge
>IG: is it really stupid and totally unfair? Fly

Learn how to play otherwise don’t faggot

it's a start

Most animals roar as a defense mechanism
Everything from Bears, Loins, and even fucking whales effectively Roar

The only thing worse than scrubs that refuse to learn the game's mechanics are the people that have only been playing since MH4U that consider themselves a series veteran. Fucking normies are ruining my favorite series.

Attached: 0A7BD32B-EDB8-49A1-AC53-61764EA97712.jpg (479x359, 34K)

I just play switch axe and get to do literally everything

I remember when everyone just called retard who couldn’t figure it out fucking retards

This
Give us back our fucking flex

MH has been in a vacuum for decades, it has missed out on almost 15 years of evolution in game design, because the target audience were a bunch of hikkikomori and wageslaves with addictive personality disorder on Nintendo portables.

It is out of that bubble now, things will start changing.

Attached: 1528102961465.jpg (377x351, 20K)

Plus you can disable the hud with ease

>cheating at sekiro
>cheating at mordhau
>cheating at mhw
why can't the pc reddit race play games without cheating?

MHW is so fucking easy someone made a clone of it (Dauntless) which is even easier. But if Dauntless was based on the other MH entries it would be harder than MHW.

unironically,
are you a nigger ?
ive seen nigger having a lot of problems with japanese games.

Holy shit. Just use earplugs

fuck off, gunlance is best lance

I'd recommend you stick with Skyrim.

Way to speak for me faggot, I love it when my characters in games can do their own things or get acted upon by outside forces.
Frankly I'd love to see a game one day where your character has a trainable AI that keeps your character busy when you're not controlling them.
Now go play a game you actually like instead of complaining like a fag.

Attached: EKKUSUTREME JIHAAADO.png (800x630, 539K)

My nigga. I just started a new file and have been using Gunlance exclusively. I'll probably use Switch Axe a little bit too just because it's my baby but Gunlance is easily my second favorite weapon type now.

ha

Where the fuck is Zinogre? Fucking Capcom
