How's your collection going?
Just finished a complete set (no doubles, its a pain in the ass to remove all those european versions of games and knowing whats a japanese exclusive) of every game for these systems. Had to skip over some ps2 and wii shovelware for the sake of space though. It took months but i'm finally done

it's a really cool feeling seeing every single video game ever made for your favorite consoles all in one place, and all you gotta do is double click them and you can be immediatly be playing them in 4k with a nice xbox one controller. (u still need a mouse to play the ds and 3ds ones since they are touchscreen)

but fuck... if you don't have a giant emulator collection you are fucking up. its worth the time and effort. plus if the internet goes out worldwide thanks to some sketchy late stage capitalism bs you'll never be bored

How big of a harddrive would you need for all of those games

anyone else with 2+ terabytes of neatly sorted roms?

Attached: 4424.jpg (3840x2160, 1.63M)

2 terabytes. a 60-80 dollar one

Link the harddrive

guess no one else on Yea Forums gives a shit about emulation.

btw the ps1 has a shitload of weird ass games. i used to be a nintendo fanboy but now i kinda think the ps1 was the best system because of all those insane jap games that would never get made today

Nah, the modern equivalent to restoring a junker car would be cleaning up old consoles and bringing them back to life by recapping them and such. Emulating is more like hopping in a modern car and pretending you're driving a classic.
I like emulation too, but let's be realistic.

Do you think you will ever play all these games or was this done just to please your collection autism?

>immediatly be playing them in 4k with a nice xbox one controller.
I love emulation but this is fabricated. Is your career sales?

Playnite > LaunchBox

I wish Launchbox worked on Linux. It's such a nice program.

Not that user, but I've got terabytes upon terabytes hoarded. I make emulation boxes, though. X-box, raspberry pieces of shit, cabinets, you name it I can make it. I keep all the ROMs and ISOs and shit I need on several externals and FTP the files over, if I am able.
>hurrr selling pirated roms
A sucker is born every minutes or a fool and his money is soon parted. Whichever. Maybe if kids actually learned to use a computer like I did in 92 at age 8 they could make this shit themselves instead of getting mommy and daddy to send me beer money for a 40 dollar SBC riced out and sold for 200.

What do you mean by emulation boxes? Like making a retro pi build and selling it?

Where do you sell your wares? I've thought of getting into the market but I assume Craigslist bans you for selling emulation boxes.

Mmhm.
ebay is still the king

i wish all emulators were perfect.
the slightest bug puts me off using them. pcsx2 is basically a right off in my book, and even shit like dolphin which is lauded as one of the best emulators, i still get some problems.

the only great emu ive used is Drastic on my phone, but i probably notice less problems because of smaller screen, etc.

What's your issue with ppsspp?

i will never play these games

Sweet, I imagine Valkyrie Profile 2 would look amazing with this.

how is this fabricated?

emulators can upscale games to 4k native (ps2 and gamecube/wii are the games that look the best when this happens) since a super nintendo game played in 4k is going to look exactly like a super nintendo game played in standard 480p with filters

>ppsspp
i havent used it, so i wouldnt know.

i thought about doing something like this now that my collection is complete (seriously took months to get everything properly named and sorted and find complete romsets which is a pain because complete romsets come with the european japanese and american copies of games and you have to one by one delete the european and japanese copies and then research and download the european and japanese exclusives seperately) going through 10 thousand games and finding boxarts is a bitch. but anyway i wanted to find a way to sell these roms but honestly i'm too afraid of getting my ebay account banned or being sued.

used to mod and put roms on kids xboxs in highschool for 20 bucks a pop tho

Attached: xWTHTYp.jpg (1678x1883, 299K)

>set up all the plugins and options in your emulators (controller settings, fullscreen settings, video settings for best picture quality)
>download launchbox
>put your roms in it and find all the missing box art on google
>literally just double click any game and have it launch and work perfectly (99% of the time)

how is this a fabrication

damn thats sick. how much profit you made so far selling those to retards?

Not much, really. I'd say around 30 grand over the years I've been modding consoles. I only really did it "as a job" when I was in college and it was part time even then. I only fire the factory back up when I want to buy something big and don't wanna budget for it.
