Dawn's not trash by any means. It improves on Aria in some ways but has lower lows. Still a good game though.

From what we've seen and from playing Curse of the Moon I'm fairly sure it will be good (if not at least decent).

Almost everything about Dawn is worse than Aria. Between having to grind for levels on Souls, the awful weapon forging system that made you sacrifice Boss Souls for what usually ended up being something much less uesful, a lot of the level concepts being straight up lazily recycled from Aria, the heavy weapons being retweaked to move like PoR weapons with their windup, and it giving us the Black Panther soul EVEN LATER than Aria, I can't find much positive to say about it. Only thing it did better was Julius mode.

This. I got bored of Dawn a few hours in, downloaded a save file, and played on Julius Mode instead and had a way better time. My main gripe was the way weapons were handled. You didn't find anything useful in the castle at all, probably cause they wanted you to use the dumb forging method instead. But that just takes away half the fun of exploring the castle like it was in Aria.

Art was trash indeed, I can't understand why they would go full anime (and not even good anime). The stylus minigame was barely even a thing.

Then why would they even care about Bloodstained? All the igavania were in this ball park, it is just how they control.

I like how much they blatantly copy the good Castlevania games.
