What are some essential comfy depression-core games like this and Yume Nikki?

It's not to say that depression is comfy, but a lot of the games that people would label as "depressioncore" are inadvertently pretty comfy.

Rain World CAN be a pure comfycore game, the enviroment and wild life is truly something to behold and anyone into pure exploration will get a stiff dick while playing it, as there's next to no direction and you're almost entirely left to figure it out.

However, if you play on anything higher than the monk, you betta be ready to be constantly shitty bricks as the world comes crashing down around you and its only goal is to slaughter the slugster.

It's the only way you can play in English. It's fine, the visuals are downgraded. Some people don't like the soundtrack, but I'd say some of the tracks are actually better than the original.
Anyway, Suda hinted at FSR remaster (together with K7), so he might actually announce it this E3.

Understandable as pseudo-intellectuals will try to convince it's some of sort deep intellectual think piece when it's plot is simplistic because the even the creators admitted they didn't really think of anything profound or deep and sorta expected fans to do it for them sorta like Evangelion.
