Is dead space 3 worth a playthrough with a used copy? I've seen some gameplay and it looks kind of fun. Is it really so shit?

Truthfully, it's just okay. There are some moments where you can really feel like EA stepped in, which is a shame since there are some moments that genuinely show brilliance, like the zero G scenes where you have to keep track of your oxygen in this huge ship graveyard, moments like crash landing on an ice cold planet, and discovering an ancient alien race. But they really fuck over the plot with this awful forced romance and some terrible dialogue, and marathoning the game isn't recommended since some parts are a slog.
Also forget what you know about the previous two games. Limb removal isn't as important and enemies are far faster.

You would have more fun playing a deadspace tabletop campaign with your friends.

Remember. Plasma Cutter+Pulse Rifle+Force Gun+Contact Beam is best loadout.

ripper has always been my favorite weapon personally.

There’s an area early in the game where you get attacker by like 5 regenerators.

I don't care if it's ammo is cheap, its alt fire is garbage.

At the very least, it's worth looking up only if you really care. Just know that the ending is an entertaining send off to the series, in a fairly dark way.

Dead Space on switch pls

Thats one of the few franchises where playing a collection on the go would be interesting, or Dead Space as a VR title. It'd probably work better than Extraction on Wii.

Its definitely a step away from the previous 2 games, but it's an absolute fun time with a friend.

This is true. The alt fire sucks in DS1 but is dope in DS2. I regularly did runs in DS2 with just that and the plasma cutter.
