They're not calling it a remaster.

Publishers, you dummy, publishers shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. Even if in this rare case they are one and the same.

It's not going to be GRID 1.
Although all of the graphical assets will probably be reused from other games since that's how they made Dirt Rally 2.

YOU PEOPLE say you want better racing games and talk up Race Driver GRID. Isn't this a perfect storm?

>It's not going to be GRID 1.
>the first game is called grid
>this game is called grid
sure codemasters intern i believe you

you're right, sorry, it is technically a new game, not a remaster

them using the same name does give the impression that one of the reasons they removed the old game was so they could re-use the name

you too are also correct, I should have said publishers

Nothing about GRID 3 suggests it will have the RPG aspects that TOCA Pro Race Driver and Grid 1 to a lesser extent had.

The campaign had rival drivers that would talk shit and be more aggressive in game. Your pit crew leader actually talked you and gave tips.

Wouldn't this be GRID 4? Or is GRID 2 persona non grata?

I guess GRID Autosport is persona non grata

It'd kind of dumb even sticking to the GRID name considering that they've sort of soured it with 2 and autosport. Just call it something else, not the first time the series changed names, nor the second.

Also, this is why digital distribution is shit. You'd think people would learn from the biggest shit storm digital only removal like PT or even flappy bird. At least there are physical copies for the game on consoles and PC.

No one who bought the game has any problem downloading it now.

If you didn't get a chance to buy it before then how is that anyone's problem but yours?

You're missing the point. The issue isn't now, it's decades from now when people who haven't even been born might want to play something that is no longer available. Fuck them for not being born yet I guess.

>You'd think people would learn from the biggest shit storm digital only removal like PT or even flappy bird
you say this as if you have much of a choice

Yeah, you don't have a choice with PT or flappy, but you can with retail games, or at least console games. Don't buy shit like the digital only xbone, or just buy physical copies of games that are available.

remember when grid was named TOCA ?

We done talking about this?

But it was called Race Driver: Grid retard.

Oh shit new game
Loved Grid 1, never played 2

Everyone hates 2 because no cockpit view but not because they casualized the driving, even though I would think the latter would be more offensive.

That nintendo switch 101 right there

A ton of people hate the driving, live routes, and progression.

Live Routes are inoffensive. The game's controls are easy enough to work around where unpredictable turns won't throw you for a loop.

>Grid
>Grid 2
>Grid Autosport
>Grid

didn't you know? rebooting your series and naming it the exact same thing as the first game is super hot right now

Technically the first game is called "Race Driver GRID" because it follows on from the TOCA Race Driver series.

Isn't this an all new game tho?

This is the glorious digital future pc incels asked for.

>arcade physics
>realistic tracks
???

literally no one has ever called it race driver grid besides it's box, even the devs called it grid
