why did retards fall for this again?
How much profit did they run away with? Surely they didn't spent all that $8.5 million on an emulator box.
I found a backer edition at Goodwill for $10 a year after it came out. Bought it just for the bluetooth controller. Makes for a good conversation starter. The giant "Thank you for believing" ticket inside was the saddest thing ever though.
>Go to Walmart when it was first released
>Think I'll pick one up for $15
>$99
I think it's still in the protective glass somewhere.
>mfw still never fallen for any kikestarter scam
Feels fucking good fellas
S to spit on the grave
A decent amount judging by the amount of retards on Yea Forums I've argued with defending this thing
Remember E3?
>People here actually funded this shit and said it was the future
Hahaha
youtube.com
What went wrong?
It was dead on arrival.
OUYA FLOUYA
F in advance
>The only Kickstarter I’ve donated to was Cyanide and happiness
They were already good at delivering so I wasn’t scared to donate
The card game was pretty OK nothing to write home about
I fell for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero and got a game, a soundtrack, and a coin out of the deal. All in all I was satisfied with it.
>Why did retards fall for this?
>A decent amount
>why did retards fall for something retarded?
Answered your own question
a better question is where do retards get all this disposable income
Shit's got Earthworm Jim as an exclusive
That's better than the Ouya or the nu-Atari
>user in charge of reading comprehension
It was when kickscammer was new and everyone was just throwing their money at dumb shit for the sake of it
See also: Mighty No. 9
what do you think they did with all the money? they surely didn't spend the whole 8.5 million
Mommy
Producing modern electronics more complex than a transistor requires _a lot_ more than 8.5mil.
this shit really got 8.5 mil? WHAT THE HELL
Lotta twenty-something normalfags who remembered playing halo in college, but who were never really into games, thought they'd actually get a comparable experience.
Normalfags gonna normalfag
>still remember that Notch donated a shitload of money to this shit
Makes me laugh to this day.
Fucking reminder that Yea Forums had a good amount of jackasses with tripcode bragging about backing OUYA in 2013 and actually thought they'd play games like Skyrim on it
I really wonder where they are
do these things even still work if you own one? i thought ouya got bought by razer or some shit a few years ago. did they kill off the store/online functionality?
>I really wonder where they are
I occasionally wonder this, but not in the same context. Where did all the tripfags go? I only see like two or three same ones.
yes
who gives a rats ass about earthworm jim
certainly not enough for the intellivision to be successful
imagine being this stupid. to take anything a tripfag says to heart. holy shit, 6 years later and your dumb ass STILL remembers them and what they said. that is some successful trolling.
You know exactly where.
when archives started letting you look up a tripcode's post history, everybody dropped their code. It was like their youtube comment history 14 years but worse
Very few exists and usually they change their trip to "refresh" the post history
Bourgeoisie.
Over paid white collar corporate drones and programmers.
>Why are retards retarded
We're still trying to figure that one out.
they were actual backers. They posted their receipts n shit you dumb newfag
I was skeptical but I thought the idea was sort of cool. It was very clear that nothing would come out of the game, though.
Dude's literally a billionaire desu, even if he donated all of that 8.6mil goal himself it wouldn't even make a dent in his wallet.
They actually produced way more of these things than what they needed to fulfill pledges because they thought it would actually sell.
>the game
*the system. Ouya was showing cracks in it from the start.
I always liked the case, though. I wonder if there's a used one I could gut and put a Raspberry Pi in.
They are probably still on SA.
*blocks your E3 show*
I genuinely wouldn’t be surprised if the OUYA devs literally sabotaged themselves after they saw what Notch became because they felt “dirty” taking his money. Several of them were openly SJW on twitter, the kind of militant crazy where they will actually harass charities not to accept money from people they don’t like.
No way in hell. The way Ouya worked out was one hundred percent nothing but genuine incompetence. It was the real thing.
It came at a time when people wanted new consoles. Look at the surveys for most wanted games, and it's all games you could find on a PS3 or 360. When people started learning about the hardware specs that were present, and finally learned what they financed, felt like they were somehow betrayed.
youtube.com
Also, what makes it extra funny is that it was unseasonably hot that day. You can SEE the universe telling Ouya no.
Why does it come with iPods?
Gaming journalism making everyone think that it was something it wasn't.
Kickstarters are the informercials of the zoomie generation
>literally shaped like a dreidel
based
is this a fingerbox?
>81
>Mild humidity
>Unreasonably hot
I bet you're Canadian
God, of all the people in the world that could’ve made something of themselves.
It’s just a heartbreaking waste of money and luck. He literally just trolls people on the internet all day and argues just as much. How...sad. Like for real. I’m struggling to just fucking make rent but if it means not being a pathetic sack of shit like that- I’m okay with it.
I met a millionaire once.
The guy literally doesn't know what to do for the rest of his life, he is 34. He made it big by investing a couple thousand pounds on Amazon and Apple 14 years ago. He then started trading and got around 25 million dollars before he said it was enough.
He is turning into a socialist, wondering why don't people have money and how millionaires have to help others make more money and always argues about how other millionaires should help poor people. He never mentions himself tho.
I mean as long as he's having fun. Must be nice to have the tranquility of knowing money is never going to run out even if you spend your whole life shitposting.
This is a good analogy.
For all the monkey paw threads Yea Forums has, I'm surprised no ones brought this up.
On the flip side, the creator has the rights to do the comics (in exchange for having nothing to do with the game I believe) so some good came out of that
Back during the late 7th gen, being able to publish indie games on consoles was messy, Microsoft and Sony had hurdles to jump through and Nintendo flat out required owning an office to publish games on the system
So Ouya being an indie focused system made sense, as it was a platform to get a lot more games that weren't as graphically demanding
Then a couple months before launch, Sony announced that they were lowering the requirements to publish indie games on PS4 and completely destroyed any appeal the Ouya had
I kinda doubt Notch is having fun. I get the impression he's just bored and angry.
Dude people backed a water bottle that told you what was in it it writing on the side.
It never got out of testing phase that said water.
Join the club user. Never saw a reason to donate to any kickstarter.
never send a woman to do a mans job
Remember when they wanted skyrim ported? Normalfags are truly fucking retarded.
>Makes for a good conversation starter.
kek what kind of out of touch incel are you?
Ive never donated to a kikestarter in my life, in fact ive never donated to anything ever.
Earn your money properly or suck dick.
Every virtual journo like kotaku was making articles about kickstarter projects before the reality bubble popped.
Watching this is so painful. 2:20 is specially hard to watch. In front of so many people.
>basically just an arm platform for playing android games without the added benefit of being a phone.
A fool and his money ect ect
I want to marry Claire.
Try that again, bud.
NEW UPDATE
ENGAGING THE LAYER
>just for the Bluetooth controller
That controller is absolute shit though
>that moment when she said there's nothing special about the board, admitting it's essentially just an overpriced raspberry pi
Jesus fucking christ the cringe.
What’s the backstory on the creator?
Claire is legit too fat to be cute.
>Shit's got Earthworm Jim as an exclusive
Earthworm Jim was always garbage.
based
That makes a lot of sense.
Holy fuck you're right
Some of the stuff on Kickstarter really does. Pebble used to grab a lot of attention once they upgraded to the Time Steel. I think the Fitbit Versa is the only other watch with that sleek of an aesthetic.
Pebble was awesome. Exactly what I wanted in a “smart” watch. Shame the company was run like shit.
But damn can she cook.
What the fuck? LA is in the mid 70s in June? It gets to 90 pretty often in MA and were like 1000 miles north of them
Fuckin climates
You know how when you're pretty much done with a video game? Everythings unlocked, all the currency you earn is worthless because you've bought everything, and you're bored of it because there's nothing left to achieve? So you turn the game off and move on to something else?
Imagine that but in real life and the only way to move onto a new game is through suicide.
I bought it for a living room mediabox and it did its job well enough. people later ran with the idea and made better android media boxes though
Found one
Didn't Pebble shut down like 3 months after their second kickstarter
My old roommate gave $200 to this campaign while he was supposedly low on money and couldn't afford to pay a couple bucks extra towards our heating bill to not have it feel freezing during the winter.
I feel like my annoyance at him cursed the project.
This is exactly how i've found it to be. I gamble a lot and have made some real big wins in the past. The thing is if you don't come from money, and neither do your friends, well, it's isolating. I've even tried to offered to match friend's annual salaries if they'll come travelling with me etc, but people want to live their own lives.
>how many have you sold?
>A lot
>Starts shaking
Can any expert tell me what does her body language says?
Oh no she's a fox
Put this shit on a fortune cookie
Amusing, dude should create a foundation and put his money to work while doing a fun job.
Ouya.
As in 'Ouya that was a thing.'
Notch has confirmed that he:
-wishes he never sold minecraft
-has no social life
-posts from a room full of stale candy
Who is this and how can I get with her?
Yeah, the sad thing about money is that it defines us as people. When you have money, you are just different, and people treat you as such. When you don't need to work, when you can afford to do anything you want without consequence, you are different, and I'm not sure we can ever get away from that. Money is by far the thing you never want to bring up in any situation unless you're desperate. And God help you if you want to be "normal" but are rich or worse, have a well-known wealthy family's name. Shit is impossible, you gotta start a new alias.
patreon is much worse
avoid it all costs.
she's a fatty who tries to fatten up single men.
you don't want to get with her.
I work in a creative field. I’d use that money to have life security while exploring my creative endeavors. It’s the worst part about being an artist
That girl is amazing omg
Why do retards keep falling for scams like these? reminds me of Juicero
The tech bubble already bursted though, the retard backers are now at porn/lgbt kickstarters.
>Sixty bucks for a game?
youtube.com
>this was Ouya's target audience
lmao
He's baste und redpilt
>Let's make it unappealing
>retards
That’s why
>four hundred bucks for a juicer?
>i could have bought food
>OUYA
