No. All the new art assets aren't included in this install. As such it's much smaller than retail. Original WoW was almost 6GB, Classic comes in at around 8GB. Only portions of the UI use retail settings.

Ele, Enh, and Ele/Enh are all fine for leveling. You'll have enough healing for dungeons and shit. In the endgame you go full Resto or Ele/Resto. If your guild likes you enough you can do some Enh/Resto memery too.

So then, let me ask something else. Will Classic servers be larger than Vanilla servers, or will they be the same size in the remake as they were back in the day? Do we have any info on that yet? If so, I want to know if modern servers are large enough to make each 'layer' feel as large as a server was in Vanilla all those years ago. I want to know if this will partition Ironforge and Org to hell and back instead of letting them be flooded with players like they always were in Vanilla. Because if the layering technology of the Classic servers is able to simulate an approximate population density that would be similar to Vanilla peak averages, then I think I can live with layering. If not though, and this will make cities feel like ghost towns while popular farming spots see little to no competition, then it's obviously a problem.

Short answer, yes, the servers/layers will be larger than what they were in Vanilla. Layering only exists, and is only ever used, to avoid shit like 45 minute queues and server crashes.
Outside of very specific times, such as immediately after launch (talking the first 6-8 hours) or realm restarts, it should be difficult to even notice that layering even exists.

To be fair, it took the most popular classic beta streamer about 45 minutes to log in. But I think they then did employ selectivity to ensure that 2004 boomer accounts and streamers got into the test (just like with real beta invites REEEEEEEEE)

Agree, TBC but with some tweaks. No flying except in the specific areas that require flying for access. I'd keep badge gear but make it more expensive, especially the Sunwell stuff. Have resilience reduce effectiveness of gear when attacking PvE. Never remove attunements.

They were testing layering which is continent wide, it doesn't matter if the players were all in one place or not. In fact the run probably spread them out in a more organic fashion than they would have without it.

If they can't figure out how to gear TBC without making classic raids laughable, they should implement Time Walker-like scaling to scale early TBC raid gear equipped max level to mid tier Classic raid gear at lvl 60
