God, I need more games like Dragon's Crown and Dungeons & Dragons Mystara.
Why won't anyone make them?
This 2D sidescroller + 3D plane for movement thing is considered outdated but why?
It's vastly superior to what we have in todays 2D Indie games and opens up a lot more possibilities for game design.

I generally don't port beg, but damn it'd be great to have Dragon's Crown on Switch for home/handheld play in one form. The beat-em-up bundle of Capcom games kinda scratches that itch, at least.

I had the Vita version, it was pretty much the only game that made me keep that handheld around for as long as I did. But the framerate could drop and while the OLED looks nice, it's a tad small for my taste.

I too wish it came to PC - its a pity it didn't . However there are some great titles on PC for those interested.
Look up River City Ransom Underground, 99 Vidas, Castle Crashers, Friends of Ringo Ishikawa, Double Dragon Neon, Fist Puncher, Mother Russia Bleeds, and Fight N Rage
that should get you started. All are on Steam!

Oh and Gekido Kintaro's Revenge. Full Metal Furies is more of a shooter but brawler mechanics and definitely worth playing

Is Pro worth 15 burger bucks? I have it on PS3, but I honestly never could get all that into it. I loved Muramasa Rebirth and Leifthrasir. I feel like DC is a game that’s much more fun with friends, or at least with other players.

Maybe it's just not to your liking.
For me personally it is miles ahead of Muramasa and Odin's Sphere. I pretty much only play solo because the amount of visual noise on screen with 4 players actually makes the game not fun for me. Solo Dragon's Crown is one of my favourite games of all time.
