you never asked

Because it sold really badly

very nostalgic to me, even have promotional items of it

The wii despite its popularity is filled with hidden gems.

Honestly, because it pales in comparison to Land 4

This is true, remember when mid sized developers were a thing? You could just get random treasure on a major console.

Nintendo still has them, but basically just makes them do the bitch work on their major games rather than make their own.
>Three months after launch it only sold 150k
Holy shit that's fucking terrible for 2008 on the Wii.

Such a shame man way more original games on major consoles then

Global recession was in full swing and NSMBWii had not revitalized the 2D console platformer yet. No one was going to go out and buy a $60 2D game. It was also marketed poorly. Nintendo announced its existence out of the blue one day and had a weird YouTube ad where the page was flash and Wario slammed the UI apart. They could have announced it at E3 2008 but chose not to, sealing its fate.

The game is pretty lackluster compared to its forebearers anyways, the hand drawn animation is the only thing going for it, to be completely frank.

I don't know, I really enjoyed it when I played it back in the day. Maybe the hand drawn style suckered me in, I don't know. But that isn't a unique thing anymore now, it was unique when it came out.

>warioware shove up yo own ass game
No thanks

When did Wario lose his soul?

He never did.

I'm pretty sure I never bought another DS after Master of Disguise, christ that game was dog shit. Literally zero soul.

He never did silly!

The game is ass but sprite work is fine.

T H I C C

Never played/10, the graphics look good though. I wish they'd make a 2D Mario game with these cartoony visuals instead of NSMB shit

It was the last Wario Land game on a handheld

What a way to end the series

WarioWare Gold. The art style is horrific. Looks like a shitty PBS Kids 2D flash art style. The Rhythm Heaven artist they got doing this has been declining in quality over the years ever since after Rhythm Heaven Paradise.

Because the motion controls can ruin good runs due to unresponsiveness.
The amount of times I had to restart the final boss challenge because of the aiming being drastically off from my initial angle was infuriating.
Other than that, the game is fantastic.
I wish there was a version without the Wiimote.

Every wario game is good, now you know.

What about Master of Disguise?

Music saves it

I am a huge WarioWare fan, and I still agree with this. The one bad thing about Gold is the bland, homogenized art style. It just doesn't fit a game like WarioWare

are you huge?

That first sprite looks like it came straight out of Pokemon red and green

WOW WHY'S THAT user?

The eyes

Sequal never

gah!

Been playing the Wario Land series lately after getting a nostalgic recall of playing 2 years ago. Why is Master of Disguise so bad Should I skip it?

it was a step down from wario land 4 so it was completely ignored
'member master of disguise ?

And the worse part is that the storyboard artist draws 10x better than that RH faggot. They cheaped out to save on money. Just fire the RH faggot already. He literally just retraced the storyboards on MS Paint.

repepetitive tilesets
short lenght
bland music

>should I skip it
If you want to play all the Wario games, no
If you want to play a fun game, yes

>previous games are some of the finest platformers in history
>after two shitty, badly received games Nintendo kills the series.

Why they did have to do this to Wario, it's NOT FAIR.

The first Wii game I ever pirated.

Shake It wasn't badly received, people loved the artstyle

They should just hand off the Wario Land series over to Way Forward.
They'll give the series justice, I'm sure.
